Mydbops handled the complete migration of our database infrastructure from cloud services to VM-based infrastructure. They migrated 4 MongoDB clusters from Atlas and 8 MySQL clusters from AWS RDS to VMs on AWS. The migration was done in phases to minimize downtime and ensure all data was transferred safely.
After the migration, they set up 24x7 managed support for all our databases. This includes monitoring with alerts integrated into our Slack channel, daily backups with recovery options, performance optimization, query tuning, and security management. They handle all day-to-day database operations like schema changes, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
Key deliverables included successful migration of all 12 clusters with zero data loss, custom monitoring and alerting system, automated backup setup, monthly health reports with performance insights, and defined SLA with 15-minute response time for critical issues.

I’m the technical lead of Inextrix Technologies, a telecommunications company. We design and deliver enterprise-grade VoIP, unified communications, call center, and telecom automation solutions that enable businesses to efficiently manage, monitor, and scale their global voice and messaging operations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mydbops?

We needed help identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in our MySQL database supporting one of our custom VoIP billing and switching projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mydbops provided MySQL performance tuning. Their main deliverables included a comprehensive audit report analyzing our server configuration, infrastructure suitability, buffer pool settings, and connection handling. They also worked on schema and index optimization by removing duplicate and unused indexes and providing primary key recommendations.

The team also analyzed query performance and optimized the top six problematic queries with detailed before-and-after comparisons. They implemented configuration changes, including InnoDB buffer pool, I/O capacity tuning, and isolation level modifications. Mydbops also provided a security assessment and a complete security report covering access protection and breach prevention measures.

The team provided a table partitioning strategy with a sample two-year monthly range partitioning for large tables. They also provided a scalability roadmap with ProxySQL load balancer recommendations for future read/write splitting. Finally, they provided a prioritized action plan with categorized recommendations for phased implementation.
