Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We hired Moxie Sozo to do brand development for a new line of products we had intended to launch in Q4 2023. In addition to a Strategic Brief, Moxie was to work on crafting the Brand Identity (Wordmark, icon, lockup variations, color palette, and typography) and execute 3 unique, high end label concepts.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Metric was that we were going to select one concept from the three what were presented. We were then going to take the concept and use that look for our product labels. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The project started off great. We had a solid brand strategy meeting- we discussed clearly we wanted the labels to reflect a modern, premium brand aimed for women in their 30-40's. After that- things went down hill. Our first design review was delayed- we were originally set to have them present March 8, however we received an email the day before asking to reschedule, as a team member of theirs went missing, so this delayed the presentation by ONE MONTH! Keep in mind, they continued to bill us the second installment even though they had not kept up on their end of the deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The website. It showed great work, however the designs which were produced for us were subpar. I'm not sure if they outsourced the work to someone else or had junior designers work on the project. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Moxie Sozo could have done differently?

Lots of areas for improvement. Ultimately, the quality of design was not there, so we decided to stop the project. I escalated the situation with the Vice President, however he was of no help. They billed us for the entire project even though we did not move forward with any of their concepts because they were terrible- not to mention way behind schedule because of the initial delay.
