I'm the director of Brit Pet Care Ltd, a company that creates functional herbal supplements for dogs.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Moonlighters?

We needed to increase the ROAS of our ads to 1.9 so we could break even on the first sale and scale our ads and business. We had been stuck at $1 million in revenue, and the cost of acquiring new customers was too high.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Moonlighters managed our Facebook ads, created the ads' (including creatives), and turned off ads based on their performance.

We worked with one teammate from The Moonlighters and then he was replaced with someone else.

We found them thanks to Sam Piliero's YouTube, and chose them over other options because of the claims he made in their videos and website.

We worked together from April 2026 - July 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We achieved a 1.6 ROAS and £17 (approximately $21) AOV. However, The Moonlighters added their $1,500 base fee to a 7% “success fee,” and the ROAS was actually 1.4 - the same that I achieved before working with them. I lost £5 (approximately $6) on every sale they generated for me. The team never found a scalable ad, even after spending $85,000 on prospecting.

How did The Moonlighters perform from a project management standpoint?

The Moonlighters had timely meetings, but what they delivered (ads with an average ROAS of 1.6) was far below expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their onboarding process was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The Moonlighters turned most of my ads into 20% discount ads, which reduced my AOV and LTV.
