Momentum, a marketing and digital agency, was tasked with creating Christmas Campaign for Galaxy and Jewel’s. Our solution was to come up with an interactive touch screen game called "Help Santa Deliver Gifts", The game was fun way to get people in the holiday spirit.
“Galaxy Christmas Activation” had the following objectives:
- To create an experiential activation that would be the first of its kind in Dubai
- To create awareness around the Galaxy and Jewel’s brand
- To drive traffic to Carrefour Stores.
Consumers Played the game Giant 55" Touch screens integrated with Display gandolas, Consumers took part in draw to win exciting gifts like Nintendo Switch, Apple watch and Christmas Stockings full of goodies.
Whole activation was managed by Momentum, from inception to delivery.

Momentum Marketing & Events garnered overwhelming praise for their project management approach. The client’s success leans on how the team increased the product sales. Adding on to that, the team had an outstanding performance, and they were able to solve problems quickly.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the customer marketing manager at a consumer goods company. I’m in charge of the in-store marketing related to new launches, activations, engagement, and trade-off price. We sell chocolates, pet food, gum, candy, and more.
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Marketing & Events?
The promoters we used to have were expensive. What we tried to do with Momentum was to have a promoter for a full month in one store, so we could have a cheaper rate. In addition, we'd maximize the use for any costs that we incurred in terms of permits or any specific activities.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Every single account had different consumers or different topics and Momentum Marketing & Events helped us find promoters for each one. If we had a requirement in terms of language or ethnicity, they sent us the correct profiles. We received on average 10 profiles.
Momentum gave us options of designs to see how the trade and costumes would look. We shared with their team our comments and approved all the details.
Momentum also applied for a permit with the store and the municipalities of the region that we were working with. Additionally, they made a payment on our behalf to the store.
Finally, we debriefed with Momentum on the key metrics and data we wanted to collect from our customers, such as age, purchase purpose, and other questions promoters could ask. Once they were discussed, the campaign went live.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Adnan (Senior Events Account Manager) and Amanda (Sales Director). Adnan was the face of the company and managed most of the project for us. On the other hand, Amanda called us and double-checked if posts were on time and correct, or if we needed any help. We also gave her feedback about Adnan.
How did you come to work with Momentum Marketing & Events?
We heard about Momentum through Adnan; he got our contact information and sent us a few emails. Before COVID-19, Adnan came to our office and made a presentation with examples of what Momentum had done.
Internally, we decided to change our habits and give more chances to other suppliers. We tested three different agencies for the same project, each of them in a different store.
We wanted to see who was doing a better job in terms of being faster, cheaper, and who had better quality promoters. Momentum was the best out of three, and we hired them. On top of that, they were very professional and had clear communication skills.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $5,000–6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from February–March 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was difficult to measure and see the impact from a data and sell-out perspective because we didn’t have that. We did see how many pieces Momentum sold, and definitely there was an increase compared to what we were doing before.
At the beginning, we faced few difficulties, but we were able to sort them out quickly. We learned from our mistakes about debrief and focused on what we wanted to push in terms of product sales. We gave Amanda good feedback. Momentum met our goal, but we chose the wrong source — not on us, not on them.
How did Momentum Marketing & Events perform from a project management standpoint?
From a project management standpoint, the communication was great — Adnan was sending constant reports. Every day, we received the promoter’s time-in and time-out, and pictures as well. We requested weekly posts reports, but at the end of the campaign, they shared a monthly report.
We had a delay with permits, but Adnan was able to sort it out with the municipalities in a legal way. He was fast, and he didn’t require any documents from my side. Compared to the other two agencies that worked on the same project and wanted our intervention. Adnan outperformed them and took the responsibility.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The Momentum team was reliable. We didn’t have anything to worry about unless we needed extra work. We had had very small projects that happened after the first one and Momentum had helped us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything to say about what Momentum could improve because it was a small project.
Any advice for potential customers?
I recommend giving Momentum the proper brief. It will be very efficient to do the job on time, and the project will give fewer issues.
