Pricing was very reasonable. Also they were able to hit our timelines which prevented us from exceeding our projected budget for the scope of work.

Our company did all the project management. However, their developers did not need any hand-holding either. They are able to work with very minimal supervision. They are highly skilled and capable developers. One thing worth the mention is they truly take the time to understand the nuances of the project and from there, are able to make recommendations based on their experience with similar projects they've previously encountered.

They are by far the most professional software dev outfit I've had the chance to work with. What I find unique about them is they go the extra mile by giving recommendations and suggestions based on their experience, where other developers just provide the bare minimum of what is expected of them. I’m the founder of My pet corner, a marketplace specializing in selling and buying articles for pets. Our platform is similar to other applications where users can sell and buy second-hand clothes, but only for pet accessories.

We needed to develop our mobile and web applications.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd has developed mobile and web applications from scratch using React Native. The mobile app is compatible with Android and iOS. I designed the apps’ wireframes, and MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd developed the apps.

Our apps allow pet owners to publish and sell their pet’s items. I can accept or reject the postings, and the articles are published with a description for the buyers to read and make an offer. Sellers can negotiate, and buyers can either accept, reject, or make a counteroffer to the buyers. 

Once users agree on the final price, sellers can purchase the item through the app since we have an integration with an online payment platform. The buyer’s money stays in an e-wallet until the seller sends the item. 

MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd has also implemented an API that allows me to send shipping labels directly to the seller, and buyers can choose to receive their order at their homes or in a postal office box. Once the buyer receives their order and confirms that they’re satisfied, the seller receives the money through the payment platform, and buyers can leave a review of the item in the app.

I interviewed two other companies and chose MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd because of their originality and previous work. We had several interviews before signing the contract, and I also talked to some of their previous customers that were satisfied with their service.

We’ve invested €50,000 (approximately $55,000 USD) with MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd.

What is the status of this engagement?

MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd developed our apps from January–November 2022, and we continue to work together on our apps’ optimization.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd has met my expectations and developed functional applications. We have around 1,600 active users and a good conversion rate. I also have 1,000 pages indexed in Google through our web app, and I find this important since web development isn’t MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd's specialty.

When we encountered bugs MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd fixed them quickly. We’ve been working together for a while and know how to work together. The apps’ design is beautiful, and I only have positive feedback for the apps’ UX.

I used to be pushy with MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd because I didn’t have enough transparency about their timelines and deadlines. We’ve had a time lag before, and MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd has managed to go through it. We’ve changed our way of working, and I now trust them and am less stressed.  

MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd also stays on budget, and communicating with them is easy. We use Skype and Basecamp to collaborate.

I’m most impressed with MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd’s execution and quality of work. This is a big project because we launched a marketplace. I’m also impressed with the apps’ design it fits exactly with what I had in mind, and MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd respected my choices.

I recommend including design in the project scope because it was important for MobileCoderz Technologies Pvt Ltd to have good feedback about their design. I also recommend testing the designs. We had a bug that they fixed fast, and I think once you have the design you want, the rest of the project flows naturally.

The website that MobileCoderz has built for us is amazing. It’s very responsive, performs well, and has a great UI. Since launching it, we’ve been getting a decent amount of traffic. Moreover, it has been working well, and we haven’t encountered a single error to date. The mobile app is still under development, so I don’t have feedback in that regard yet.

MobileCoderz’s communication is very good. We have regular meetings and discussions with the project manager. During those meetings, he shows me the progress and the tasks they’re working on. Their team constantly ensures that our project goes in the right direction, and they deliver on time, so there haven’t been any delays. As for collaboration tools, we use Skype, Slack, and phone to communicate.

Mobilecoderz’s project management is very good. They ensure that their clients are satisfied by providing the right service at the right time.

I haven’t come across any problems or issues I would say they need to improve on. Overall, MobileCoderz is doing a great job.

Engage with them frequently. You can provide them with feedback, and they’ll accommodate that into their work.

The challenge I was trying to address was that MobileCoderz refused to hand over all of my intellectual property.

Mobilecoderz was hired to complete development of a previously developed app from a different developer.

The team dynamic is terrible.  To avoid work everyone was out sick for week or on leave for months.  They also lacked cohesiveness.

Found them online.

To much time and money.  Mobilecoderz has and is still costing me more delays due to their reluctance to hand over all of my source code.

UPDATE: To date, the Owner/CoFounder has to return all of our intellectual property Furthermore, the Owner/Co-Founder has made threats to utilize the company's entire workforce of over 150 employees to post negative reviews on the appstore and play stores, should we choose not to remove a certain review.

The Owner/Co-Founder has repeatedly denied any wrongful conduct. However, we are prepared to use our evidence to effectively argue and defend our position in a court of law. It is also worth noting that the actions of this company have resulted in significant and irreparable damages.

When they tried to extract large sums of money to continue and couldn’t they stopped being responsive.

This has dramatically effected our ability to continue our business.  Up until recently, the project was on hold due to Mobilecoderz reluctance to hand over our source code.  We have also been paying a different developer to recode the work that Mobilecoderz said they did. This is cost us over a year of app advancement and money.

MobileCoderz assured me that pick up where the previous app developer left off. Milestones were created and the vendor was paid for each milestone and the start of it.

There were a total of 6 people that tried to help. When the first selected to performed and couldn't another was called to try.

After the 1st milestone the Mobilecoderz struggled with completing the 2nd. They kept trying to bring in new developers to complete the task but never could. They did started pointing fingers to the previous developer after they did a full analysis of the code.

THEY SIGNED AN AGREEMENT they will be able to take complete the project. Their original plan was to convince us to throw away the previous $40K of app work that was already completed in order for them to start over and charge $50K. UNREAL!!! When I said no, they stopped replying to my messages. Even the owner ignored us. To make matters worse, they refused to hand over my code. Holding my business hijacked.

In fact, we were given a dedicated project manager to oversee the challenges of the development process. The entire team was very professional and true to their words in fulfilling their promises. The years of experience were quite visible when they are able to timely deliver the project despite so many complications.

Throughout the entire development process, we are able to amend urgent changes to our project with proper management. Effective communication was ensured with project management tools like Basecamp and Slack groups. This made managing complex or micro tasks super easy and fast. We were also using Skype and Gmail for verbal and textual communication.

Despite facing so many challenges in the development process, their team was skilled and professional enough to keep up with time and commit changes to the project. In fact, we were assigned a dedicated project manager to coordinate with our team throughout the development process. Although the development process was streamlined and very professional, we would suggest them help non-tech people understand the process much better. However, web/app development itself is a very complicated process. Still, kudos to the team who did a great job in developing our eCommerce store.

Thus, by developing an Android app, we wanted to digitally transform our business and capture a wider customer base. We worked with mobilecoderz to implement the best technologies from the logistics industry into our Android application. However, this wasn’t possible without developing a proper prototype for the mobile app. They gave their best efforts to develop the high-fidelity prototype that helped to understand the prospects of our Android app. They efficiently solved the challenge of developing a reliable and user-friendly interface for the app. This was very important to engage the users and help them easily transition to an online booking model.

The development team was very effective in successfully implementing features such as scheduling/rescheduling, roadside assistance, etc. Moreover, they heavily invested their time in figuring out the front-end and back-end parts of the mobile app. Java and Kotlin were used to work on the front-end of the Android app. Whereas, the backend work was done with MySQL and Laravel. How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

I had to end this project early and hire someone else to do the same job because I could not spare the time to keep babysitting this project and the lack of response. I can't say if this is typical or not since it was only one project with this developer. However, we weren't satisfied with the overall work and it was not worth the anxiety and headaches of continuously making no progress months and months in to a project. If we could do it over we would have went with a completely different dev.

Unfortunately the development work was just not up to our satisfaction and we did not get app completed which affected our investors now we have to pay more money for someone else to finish it. Would not recommend.

We were told if we left a good review before the project was completed we would receive a discount please never do that!!  Otherewise we wold not have to write a second review that is completely contrary to our initial situation with this company.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Would not recommend them for for high end projects maybe building websites but for apps and more aggressive functionality and graphics and how the left us hanging when we had a deadline our rate is a 1 STAR RATING..

Overall, I look at turnaround times and how responsive a company is, and MobileCoderz hasn’t given me excuses. Also, I look at how they manage things. I have a high level of experience, but sometimes I act as if I don’t know what’s going on just to see how they handle the situation and treat the customer, and they always treat me very professionally.

Moreover, they explain things with clarity and make sure that I understand the process. If I don’t understand something, they try to explain it again so I can understand, or they bring somebody else to explain it properly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any complaints about them. They’ve shocked me, and I’m looking forward to doing more business with them.

Be clear on what you want. Once you’re clear on your vision, they can let you know what they can do for you. We asked for certain things, but they told us they couldn’t do them before we paid them, so we didn’t spend money in vain. Everything was cut and dry, and they provided us with documentation.

Very poor PM style! We communicated via Skype Very inefficient and poor at meeting timelines! I think this is deliberate to prolong the contract so they can scam more money out of you

1. They should employ better skilled developers
2. Stop making false claims and promises about their expertise
