One2One Training Club ASD operated in the personal training sector, offering personalized one-on-one workouts in a private studio. I was the business owner and personally handled decisions regarding our digital presence and online communication.

• I turned to MG Group Italia for the creation and management of the website, as well as for services related to the business's digital and social media presence. The goal was to have a fully functional and manageable website, along with digital tools suited for communicating with customers.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The engagement involved activities related to the website and digital/social media channels. The contract was signed in 2024.

In my experience, the project took significantly longer to execute than agreed upon. I first gained access to the new site on October 10, 2024—several months after the contract was signed—using guest credentials rather than administrator access. By October 28, I was already experiencing access issues again.

Through my legal counsel, I subsequently lodged a formal complaint regarding the failure to provide the requested administrator credentials for the website and social media accounts. These details are also documented in the legal correspondence concerning the dispute.

Several corrections were also required during the course of the engagement. During one of the many phone calls with the company’s contact person, Lorenzo, I recall requesting a backup copy of the previous site's configuration; to my knowledge, this was never provided.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The overall result did not meet my expectations. My assessment is based on the entire experience: lengthy delays, numerous revisions, difficulties accessing the site, and the failure to provide the administrative credentials I had requested.

Furthermore, correspondence from my lawyer pointed out that, despite an agreed 90-day timeframe for the launch of the new website and the social media channels intended for content publication, the project did not materialize as expected.

Ultimately, the situation necessitated legal intervention. I had paid a total of €4,745.80 and, through my lawyer, requested a refund of €3,545.80, while acknowledging a payment of €1,200 for the work actually performed.

For the sake of completeness, I should note that MG Group Italia disputed my account; through their legal counsel, they maintained that they had duly fulfilled the contract, stating—among other things—that the site had been online since September 24, 2024, and that social media and direct email marketing (DEM) activities had been carried out.

My personal assessment as a client remains unchanged: given the timelines, management style, difficulties encountered, and the overall outcome, I consider the service received to fall far short of my expectations and of what I had anticipated when deciding to make a significant financial investment.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

From my perspective, project management was one of the most problematic aspects. The timeline dragged on far longer than I had anticipated, numerous corrections were required, and I encountered issues regarding access to and independent management of the site.

The overall experience did not provide the level of control and autonomy over my digital presence that I had expected from the service I purchased.

Are there any areas for improvement or something MG Group Italia could have done differently?

I would have appreciated better adherence to the agreed-upon timelines, more effective handling of revisions, greater clarity during the project's development, and—above all—timely access to the credentials needed to independently manage the website and digital channels.

In my experience, more effective communication and greater care in ensuring the client has control over the purchased digital tools would have significantly improved the relationship.
