Scope of Work : A manufacturing client needed visibility into equipment performance that their existing infrastructure simply couldn't provide — no real-time data, no remote monitoring, no way to catch problems before they became costly downtime. Our team was brought in to build a complete Industrial IoT (IIoT) solution from the ground up: custom sensor hardware, firmware, connectivity, a mobile/web application, and the cloud backend to tie it all together. Over a focused 1-3 month sprint, a small, senior team handled the entire stack rather than handing off pieces to separate vendors — which kept design decisions consistent from the sensor level all the way up to the dashboard the client's operations team uses daily.

Project scope included: Requirements gathering and technical discovery with plant floor stakeholders to map real operational constraints (electrical noise, temperature extremes, network reliability) Custom hardware design for sensor nodes suited to an industrial environment Embedded firmware development for data acquisition and edge processing Connectivity architecture (protocol selection, gateway configuration, and network resilience planning) Cloud backend build-out for data ingestion, storage, and processing at scale Application development (web/mobile) for real-time monitoring, alerts, and historical reporting Security hardening across the device-to-cloud pipeline Testing and validation in real production conditions, not just lab simulations

Outcome: The client moved from zero real-time visibility to a fully operational monitoring system in a matter of weeks — giving their operations team the data they needed to catch issues early and reduce unplanned downtime, without the overhead of managing multiple vendors across hardware, firmware, and software.
