We hired MergedX to simplify and elevate our AI-led pre-employment assessment platform through clear UI/UX and a high-conversion website, making a complex product easy to understand, trustworthy for enterprise buyers, and intuitive for daily use. The goal was to improve product clarity, accelerate demo conversions, and ensure the platform visually and experientially matched the intelligence and credibility of the AI behind it.

UI/UX Design
- User research and journey mapping, information architecture, and end-to-end UX design for the AI-led assessment platform, along with high-fidelity UI designs and a scalable design system to ensure clarity, usability, and consistency across the product.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While Scoutabl was still in an early stage during the engagement, the impact of MergedX’s work was clearly measurable. Following the launch of the redesigned website and demo flows, demo requests increased by approximately 35–45% within 6–8 weeks, with a significantly higher proportion of qualified leads (HR managers and founders). Sales conversations became more efficient, with first-call durations reducing by 20–30%, as prospects arrived with a clear understanding of Scoutabl’s value and AI capabilities, allowing discussions to focus on use cases, pricing, and rollout rather than basic explanations. Product adoption also improved meaningfully: time to first meaningful action dropped by around 40%, and hiring managers were able to navigate assessment results and dashboards with little to no onboarding. Qualitative feedback consistently described the experience as “clear,” “easy,” and “intuitive,” while enterprise prospects showed greater trust and confidence in the platform. Additionally, the new design system and site structure enabled faster iteration and scaling without repeated redesigns. Overall, the platform began to communicate and sell its value more effectively, with design and UX playing a central role in driving growth.

How did MergedX perform from a project management standpoint?

MergedX’s project management was structured, composed, and highly reliable, an important advantage for a fast-moving startup environment. They established clear timelines and realistic milestones from the outset, covering design, feedback, and development, which eliminated last-minute surprises. Communication was efficient through regular check-ins and well-managed asynchronous updates. Beyond execution, MergedX demonstrated strong ownership by proactively identifying risks, asking thoughtful questions, and recommending better approaches when needed. All major deliverables, including UI/UX designs, website assets, and development handover, were delivered on or ahead of schedule. Even as priorities evolved, they adapted smoothly without allowing scope changes to impact timelines. Overall, the experience felt less like managing an external agency and more like working with a seasoned internal product and design team, reliable, responsive, and disciplined.

What stood out about working with MergedX was that they didn't operate like a typical design or development agency; they approached the engagement as true product partners. Their strength was not just technical or creative capability, but a rare combination of clarity in thinking, restraint in execution, and strong product maturity. This perspective ensured every decision was purposeful and aligned with business outcomes, making the collaboration genuinely valuable and impactful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were no major gaps in delivery, though there were a few minor areas where the engagement could have been further optimized. While the UX decisions were strong, a broader round of quick user testing prior to finalizing certain flows may have surfaced edge-case insights earlier and reduced the need for a small post-launch iteration cycle. Similarly, although the initial positioning and copy direction were effective, running one or two lightweight A/B tests on key sections—such as the hero or product pages, could have helped identify the highest-performing variants sooner. That said, these were refinements rather than shortcomings. MergedX was highly receptive to feedback, iterated quickly, and adapted smoothly once real-world data became available. Overall, the experience was overwhelmingly positive, with these observations representing next-level optimizations rather than gaps in execution.
