Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president and CEO of Vertical Data. We’re a content analytics platform focused on a software solution called Analytic Categorization Retrievement and Extraction (ACRE). The software encapsulates the functions we do to unstructured content. We really care about unleashing the power of content.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mellivora Software?

After a life-altering event, I was out of commission for a long time and needed to restart the platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mellivora Software came in and provided complex natural language processing knowledge to restart ACRE. Their computational linguists got the platform back up and running using Linux. The specific product we were developing was a POC for the medical field.

What is the team composition?

Olga (CEO, Mellivora Software) was my primary contact. I also worked with Alex (Project Manager, Mellivora Software).

How did you come to work with Mellivora Software?

Our CTO met Olga a couple of years ago while she was at another company. Olga reached out to us when she started Mellivora Software.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested less than $10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in March 2019 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very knowledgeable about the current state of technology, AI, and natural language processing. They wrapped the platform in Docker technology so it was current and modern for a SaaS solution—all without having to be asked. Their team is remarkable.

They proved that they have the skillset to maintain and extend the ACRE system that we originally built, and that is very rare. Mellivora Software became my one-stop-shop for virtual technology. Their team has really good AI talent.

How did Mellivora Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Although Olga was my primary contact, I got to see some behind-the-scenes project management from Alex. I saw their team’s incredibly thorough notes and was so impressed with their professionalism.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is better, faster, and cheaper. It’s hard to find the high level of talent and beat the quality that they have. They can deal with large-scale, petabyte-level data—they’re brilliant. Mellivora Software brings a lot to the table.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there wasn’t anything negative.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My only piece of advice is to do it—engage with them.
