Our project involved a somewhat comprehensive overhaul of several back-end processes for our Drupal eCommerce platform, with a specific focus on automating some redundant tasks that were previously managed manually. The primary goal was to enhance efficiency, reduce human error issues, and improve the overall customer experience by leveraging some custom code (thanks Les!) and automation technologies. 
Key Deliverables: 

1. Order Fulfillment Automation: We modified an existing system to automate the order fulfillment process more. This new system automatically selects the best supplier for each order based on a predefined set of criteria, which includes product cost, freight cost, and delivery time. This ensures that our customers receive their products quickly and at the best possible price, enhancing the customer experience with more timely product deliveries. 
2. Product Catalog Updates: Previously managed through a manual entry system, our product catalog updates are now almost fully automated. This change / upgrade allows for intraday updates to our product catalog, reflecting real-time changes in product availability, warehouse stock levels, & current product costs. This automation / update has resulted in a dramatic reduction in the time required to update the catalog, eliminating some human error issues (and headaches) on our end and allowed us to provide more accurate / up-to-date info to our customers.

The project overall was delivered ahead of time and pretty much right within budget. Metrics and expectations were set up front since we had a clear idea of what needed to be done. We did have to extend the project a little due to our suppliers integrating to us, no fault of Les / our developers ...our team was just better than theirs ;)

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Several things but most important to me --> ENGLISH IS THEIR PRIMARY LANGUAGE. They were flexible and came up with some ideas and solutions we had never even considered.

None that I can really think of. Billing was straight forward also. There is a little bit of a time zone difference but once you figure that out it's no issue..

We supported the upgrade of two Drupal 7 sites to Drupal 10 for a major US union. Both websites included a lot of custom functionality, including in-depth calendaring, integration with multiple external APIs to pull in member info and financial information, granular access controls, and online billing.

The first upgraded Drupal site was launched in July of 2022, and the second upgraded site will go-live in August 2024. In addition to developing all of the migration scripts, all custom functionality was re-built from the ground-up for Drupal 8/9/10.

Successful launch of migrated sites, maintaining all custom functionality and theming. Client is very happy with the outcome and continues to provide us with more work based on our the trusted relationship we have built over the years.

• Shows hundreds of products in detail (listing specific documents and videos, cross-linking to other products, related news) 
• Allows building integrated custom and modern landing pages 
• Manages thousands of documents 
• Has a sophisticated and automated CMS including defined roles and SSO 
• Integrates custom applications like CRM and chat in a highly performant and easily maintainable way, all within 6 months.

• High performance of the website (Lighthouse test above 90% for all criteria across the whole website) 
• Increased CTR and lower bounce rate than before due to improved technical SEO 
• 2 to 5 times faster to create and update content on the website by staff members

Items were always delivered on time, often exceeding expectations. When discussing items valuable advice was given on how to improve them to save costs and time in the future. The response was almost always immediate, no matter what time or day it was.

What was very impressive their proactive behavior of not just taking tasks but also thinking like an entrepreneur, understanding what it means, going the extra mile and making suggestions on how to improve it further. He was also able to work under high pressure due to very tight deadlines but was always on top of everything due to being extremely well organized.

To be honest, I can`t think of what he could have done better.
