We needed their team to promote our organization, not just within our local community but also nationwide.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were a national organization with over 250 members locally, and we wanted Media Pouch to help us spread awareness about our group. Their main deliverable was a promotional video that featured our organization, our real estate professionals, our devoted clients, and all the prominent awards we accumulated.

Media Pouch was involved in the brainstorming process, helping us collate ideas to produce an engaging video. More importantly, they facilitated the production process and handed out the end product, which we used on our website and social media pages.

We worked with five of their members. Ryan (Founder) was our main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Media Pouch?

I met Ryan at a real estate networking event. He was introduced to me by a colleague, who was our common friend. We started talking, and he explained what he did for a living. Coincidentally, we were looking for a team who could help promote our brand through a video at that time, so I gave him the chance to call us via Zoom and do a presentation. Ryan blew our minds by showing their high-quality, previous outputs for different clients, so we were happy to hire his team.

We spent about $10,000.

The project ran from August–October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a community event to launch the video, and it was well-received by everyone. The guests asked us about the video creators, and we were happy to tell them about Media Pouch. I assume that Ryan got other clients that night.

How did Media Pouch perform from a project management standpoint?

Media Pouch exceeded our expectations in terms of project management. We mainly used Zoom to get updates from their team. They were always prepared, and they always worked within timelines. Everything was very well-managed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team was just naturally gifted and creative. Media Pouch was passionate about the project, and they definitely knew what we needed to promote our organization well. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there were areas that needed improvement. Everything was just on-point.

You will not regret hiring Media Pouch. Just listen to their team, and let them promote what needs to be promoted.

I’m the VP of sales at a startup called HoloGear LLC. We started the company in May 2019, and we had 1.6 million in revenue in our first fiscal year.

We sell holographic sports gear and apparel. Moreover, we’re in over 100,000 homes and 66 countries in the world, and we’re looking to continue to grow.

Some of our ads were running “stale”, and we reached out to Media Pouch for a possible collaboration with their team. We wanted them to set up some videos.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team creates and edits clips that are featured on our Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, primarily to help drive sales through advertising. Media Pouch handles all the pre-production work such as scriptwriting. 

The first video they created was for basketball. Then, we did other three sports balls including football, volleyball, and soccer.

What is the team composition?

I only work with Ryan (Founder). 

How did you come to work with Media Pouch?

I knew Ryan since high school and I reached out to him. I saw his work on Instagram and Facebook, and they were pretty impressive. When I inquired about Media Pouch’s services, their proposed cost was within our budget. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing collaboration began in December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of their work has been incredible, and we’ve been astonished by their ability. From a production standpoint, Media Pouch has been doing great work in the videography aspect. 

However, we can’t share metrics since the clips they make for us are posted together with other clips. In relation to that, it’s difficult and probably impossible to judge the ROI we've achieved based on the team’s work. Despite that, we look forward to a long-lasting partnership with Media Pouch.

How did Media Pouch perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve known Ryan for a long time, so we talk pretty informally. If we encounter problems, we address our issues with him. Then, whenever we have requirements or changes that we want to apply, Ryan conveys our messages to his team.  

They’ve done everything exceptionally well and always touch base with us throughout the process. Moreover, they’re extremely professional and I can’t say anything but good things about Media Pouch. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d say the overall quality of the videos they submit to us is impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think that they have any areas to improve. If we can get their videos for free, that would be nice.

Be open and transparent with what you want to do. That way, the team can put your vision to life through their skills. Additionally, be open to feedback because they’re very good at what they do, so just let their artistic talents take over. You will definitely be satisfied at the end of the project.

I am the owner of various organizations. One is a maker of furniture carpentry and handmade goods made out of wood, metal, or ceramics.

Another is a professional services firm that specializes in training and development for financial planners on how to provide their services to families of college-bound students.

Lastly, one is a management consulting firm specializing in organizational development, change management, and executive coaching.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Pouch?

I needed logo animations for all three organizations for use in social media, for intros and outros of training videos, prospect pitches, and so on. 

For the handmade items company, we wanted a sense of fun and mechanical motion. For the management consulting and executive coaching firm, we wanted something that was evocative of water because that was central to our brand identity.

For the financial planning one, we wanted it to convey why our name is spelled as Invysted, emphasizing that the middle part is actually an acronym from our company's tagline, which is “your success through education”. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our work with Media Pouch started with a discovery meeting where we detailed the focus of each of the organizations, the brand identities we were developing for them, and the key themes that we wanted to reinforce in our logo animations. 

We had very specific requests and we knew we were going to have a lot of iterations before we arrived at what we were looking for. We knew what we wanted to accomplish, but we didn't necessarily know how we wanted to accomplish them — we knew we were going to start with a wide funnel and see a lot of iterations. 

After we elaborated on the goals for each organization, they gave us their initial quote, and we went back and forth on that before arriving at a price that was mutually beneficial.

Once the project kicked off, they started throwing ideas our way — there was a two-week period where they suggested different ideas based on our initial conversation. We told them what we liked and what we didn’t until we ultimately arrived at the final animation for all three organizations.

How did you come to work with Media Pouch?

Ryan and I attended an event before COVID-19 and we struck up a conversation there and followed up with each other afterward for coffee to get to know a little bit more about each other's businesses. That positive interaction led to him being my first choice when we were ready to do our local animation. 

How much have you invested with them?

It was around $400 per logo animation, so the total would be an estimated $1,200. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them between September–October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They did a great job; the animations were well-designed and did what we needed them to do. We were persnickety — we were very particular with our brand identity and what elements we wanted to have reinforced with the logo animation, but they iterated with us until we got exactly what we were looking for and they delivered that. 

How did Media Pouch perform from a project management standpoint?

We used a file-transferring service, email, and phone to accomplish the project. At our request, Ryan did not put it online — I wanted to have copies of the work as it progressed because I'm a digital packrat, so he sent us a lot of different files and versions. 

Collaboration was very easy with them. They were receptive to what we liked; for example, if we liked a certain element from one idea and an element from another idea, they would iterate to include both. We also did a lot of reference sharing where we would send them a logo animation from another company and explained what we liked about it and why.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed me the most was probably Ryan's personality. I haven’t worked with hundreds of other video animators or producers, but I have done some work in media production, and I think Ryan did a better job than most at balancing the artistic with the practical. 

He understood that it needed to be pretty, but it also needed to work. If it's pretty but it doesn't work, it's useless to me as a business owner and he had that balance between functional and well-designed. 

They were also very transparent with us regarding what they could tweak and what they couldn’t, and what would be a good return on our money and what wouldn’t. Ultimately, any time we asked them to do something, they did it while keeping the cost very reasonable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They did exactly what we asked them to do — you can always nitpick around, things such as doing it in fewer iterations, but frankly, we were the ones driving the iterations and not them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to have a very clear understanding of the outcomes you're shooting for, but don't necessarily come in with a preconceived idea of how those outcomes should be accomplished.

I own Herb and Alchemy, which provides mobile bar catering and high-end mixology services to events, weddings, and parties all over Dallas and Fort Worth.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Pouch?

I spend a lot of time on the phone because our services are a little bit unique, and our customers tend to have a lot of questions. We needed to cut down the number of initial questions our customers had and, at the same time, to connect with the right potential clients. We hired Media Pouch to produce a video business card that helps introduce the value that we provide to events.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Pouch did a Q&A session to find out what we offered and the problems that we solved for clients. They created a video that shows a little bit about our process, like how we customize our menu for guests, make all of our own syrups, and provide glassware for events.

The team used drone footage to get some mobile bartending trailer shots and took videos of us catering for a real wedding. They also gave us smaller, 40-second video clips that we could use for our Instagram and Facebook ads.

I solely worked with Ryan (Founder) in terms of all project dedication, and Eric (Digital Marketer) was the second person to help us.

How did you come to work with Media Pouch?

Media Pouch was referred by a friend of ours who’s also a vendor and has worked with them in the past. I did an initial consultation and, within a few minutes of chatting with them, really liked their vision for our video and the direction that they suggested. 

What really set Media Pouch apart from competitors was that they researched businesses similar to mine to understand my market and value proposition. They went through every aspect of my website and came back to me with a script. Their team really did their homework, and I liked that, so I hired them.

What is the status of this engagement?

I booked their services on the 1st or 2nd of January 2021, and we filmed on the 9th. The project is complete.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We noticed a decrease in the number of questions during our initial calls. Our customers, who are mostly brides and event planners, will say that they’ve watched the videos on our website and understand our business and the type of services and value we provide. That’s one of the things that have improved.

How did Media Pouch perform from a project management standpoint?

Ryan was super helpful and communicative. They met the deadline but were very flexible during the shoot. His team even worked extra hours at the wedding we were catering for, making sure we got all the different shots that were on the shot list.

They used HoneyBook for their contract, which made it easy for me to set up automatic payments. They sent me the setlists, proposed scripts, and timelines through email, which is also how we communicated and where I provided my input and feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Media Pouch’s vision and creativity were amazing. They were able to put into a video exactly how I wanted to portray my business. I didn’t have to spend a lot of time explaining to them, either. I only gave a brief introduction and a link to my website, and they did all the homework themselves. I feel like I couldn’t have put my vision and my business description into better words. 

The team was also really knowledgeable about how to get the best shot. They were very well-organized and efficient. It surprised me that they got things done so quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is nothing that comes to mind. Overall, I was extremely happy, and I plan on working with them again in the future to do additional videos.

Pay close attention to the shot list that Media Pouch sends you. Look over their ideas and provide any feedback you may have. 

They had really great ideas when they first sent me the shot list, but it wasn’t going to be practical for the event that we would be filming at, so I made alterations to have the exact blueprint of the station. We were then able to come up with the right amount of expectations and the right plan.

We weren’t displeased with the results of Media Pouch’s work, though unfortunately, it didn’t drive what we were looking for. This was our first time working with video producers, so we might not have been as clear as we could’ve with what we wanted, but the final product came off as more of an infomercial than we wanted.

Ryan is definitely a personable, driven person. He was always in touch with us and brought a lot of energy to the engagement.

Working with Ryan was the best aspect of our partnership with Media Pouch. He’s willing to outwork most people.

They should focus on developing their video editing skills, though they weren’t bad. We weren’t expecting to be wowed given what we paid, and in the end, we weren’t wowed.

Keep communication open—they’ll want to be in touch with you and ask questions. As long as you know what your vision is, Media Pouch will try their best to make sure they get it right.

Since Media Pouch was a member at one of our Austin locations, it was a great opportunity to support this business. Media Pouch also made it clear that their way of producing content and the level of deliverable was one of the best in the industry.
