One of my clients in charge of Operations of a well-being nonprofit needed video production services to promote and shoot an upcoming event.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They replied promptly and professionally, and their prices were affordable for the quality of their output.

It started with a clarity call between my client and Mead Media to discuss goals, scope, price, and other specifics. When the details were agreed upon, the date and time were set for the event's promotional videos. Scott managed everything on the day of the shoot, and was prompt in sending the video drafts for approval.

We worked closely with Scott Bidmead (producer/director), his crew, and his team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My client shared the videos on social media and the engagement rates on them were better than their usual. They also received more event sign-ups than previous events.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They mostly communicated via email for hammering out details and follow-ups, phone calls for urgent matters, and Google Meet for video meetings. They were very prompt in communicating and inquiries were answered within a few hours and not more than 24 hours.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Scott Bidmead was very hands-on and very personable and professional. The crew moved like a well-oiled machine, and my client was very happy with the results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nitpicking at this point but scheduling times for video meetings was a bit inconvenient, I think they would benefit from automating that process where clients can book a time themselves instead of having back and forth between emails.
