Tom McDonald founded McDonald & Associates in 1979. Soon, George Snyder, Jeff Burns and Annette McTaggart joined him and became Managing Partners after earning their CPA licenses. Together they worked to grow the firm. Throughout the mid-80s, they were able to acquire several accounting and tax practices expanding to several locations throughout Michigan.
