McAvoy Rule & Company was established in 1986, but the company’s roots go back to 1981. In that year James McAvoy, originally an Audit Supervisor at Canada Revenue Agency, joined John Rewers to form Rewers McAvoy & Co.
In 1984 David Rule joined the firm as its third partner and when John Rewers left the firm in 1986, McAvoy Rule & Company was formed.
Kathie Logozar became a partner in 2003 prior to David Rule passing away, also in 2003, and Neil Wright became a partner in 2009.
