I’m the business development manager and a project manager for a software development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Maxiemind?

We needed someone to help develop a gaming platform with blockchain integration. Gamers can use the platform for choosing the right game. It also helps to build trust between occasional gamers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed the web application from scratch, including front- and backend integrations. Technologies included React.js, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and Unity. They also created a smart contract that was connected to a payment facilitator for gamers, who can pay using any kind of cryptocurrencies.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a UX/UI designer, a frontend developer, a backend developer, and a project manager.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2017 to March 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have 1,000 users and we are happy with their work. They added the expertise we needed to get this project done, and we plan to work with them again in the future.

How did Maxiemind perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is great. We used Jira and Slack to communicate and worked together in an agile methodology. They understood where we were in the project. Everything was clear working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had experience with blockchain.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future users have to have a scrum master on their team, since Maxiemind doesn’t use scrum methodology.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

we went bankruptcy after working with maxiemind Disappointing. - The team is inexperienced and displays a lack of leadership - Our credibility and reputation has been negatively affected ,apps failed since the beginning, App Store and Google Play reflect the quality of their services - Database was compromised twice as they failed to restrict public access to the Database so basically anyone had access to our data until we hired another company to implement security measures - Loss of data as due to failure of database Backups

Poor communication skills and experience, we had to explain several times so they can understand - Deliver apps that don’t have Auto-Updates We switched to new Devs and they are saying we need to rebuild everything if we want to repair the damage our company took after releasing the software
