Introduce your business and what you do there.

Refyne is an e-commerce brand that’s under the niche category of everyday carry items. We sell products like pens, wallets, knives, and flashlights. I am one of the company’s co-founders.

What challenge were you trying to address with Matix Labs?

We didn’t have any kind of social media advertising, so we hired Matix Labs to take care of that for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When it comes to our Facebook Ads, Matix Labs basically handles everything from A to Z. They take of the copy, the content schedule, and the creation of a few images and videos for the advertisement.

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from their team: Tyler (Account Manager), Jono (Account Manager), and the person who got us signed up with Matix Labs. 

How did you come to work with Matix Labs?

They reached out to us a long time ago for a different project. I came across one of their ads recently, which reminded me of them, so I decided to contact them for this particular project. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $40,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021 and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Within the first few months of working with Matix Labs, we’ve achieved a 4x ROI.

How did Matix Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Matix Labs has done an excellent job of managing the project. They’re very thorough. We have weekly to biweekly meetings on Zoom and communicate through email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Matix Labs has skin in the game. What we like about them, and one of the reasons we signed up with them in the first place, is that they’re performance-based. This means that pay them based on how they perform or when we get a good ROI. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they could do differently. The new iOS update is messing up our ads, but the team is working on it.
