I’m the VP of product and engineering at uStudio. We’re a business podcast solution provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Avani Miriyala Strategy + Design?

We were looking to expand our enterprise media management platform by building product on top of it.

They provided UX research and UX design for us. They looked at what other products do, interviewed potential customers and did the design on the product itself.

We’ve worked together in the past at another company, so we had a good understanding of them and their skillset.

We’ve invested approximately $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in July 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality was extremely high, almost to the point where it was too high. Theim biggest strength is being able to iterate and learn from past experiences. They produce beautiful work and adapted to our needs.

How did Avani Miriyala Strategy + Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They did an excellent job of delivering on tight timelines and doing research with customers. They use Asana for project management, and each month we’d get totals of where her time went. We used Jira internally and they also had access to that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did a very good job of taking a blank whiteboard and getting it from nothing to a wireframe that people can start to digest.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, for the needs we had they were perfect.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We worked best when we started with low-resolution mockups and worked our way up to higher resolutions.
