Please describe your company and your position there.

Hi! I am Saman the owner of Sammy Tours. I started my company very small, with a single tuk tuk. Now it has been developed to a tour agency in Sri lanka with a fleet of well maintained vehicles.

For what projects/services did your company hire Marketing Chrome?

Social media marketing and SEO were the projects which I was using Marketing Chrome for.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to increase the amount of sales by doing social media marketing and SEO. It took couple of months, and we saw an increase of our sales.

How did you select Marketing Chrome?

I saw an advertisment of Marketing Chrome in facebook. This is how Marketing Chrome was first known to me.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

After I selected Marketing Chrome to manage our website's SEO and digital marketing, me and the CEO of Marketing Chrome, Philipp had a couple of calls, where we discussed about the goals of my company and the targeted audience. He understood clearly what I wanted.

What was the team composition?

It was only me who had connection with Marketing Chrome. With the connection we built it was more like a friendship with Philipp. Also must say that Ranga the project manager did a great job.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes Matketing Chrome ranked many keywords on Google's first page. One of the keywords I can remember is " sri lanka private tours" which was a competitive keyword, however they were abled to rank it on google's first page.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was getting the monthly SEO reports from their project manager Ranga and we were contacting each other through whatsapp mainly. As emails took a little bit of time for them to answer.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I see Philipp as a highly talented person when it comes to marketing or can say he is a born SEO specialist. Really its amazing the knowledge he has about marketing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Yes, one thing I see is that they need to improve is the respond time it takes for emails. Sometimes it took 2-4 days to respond.This is one of the areas that Marketing Chrome has to definitely improve, otherwise they could loose a lot of businesses. I find whatsapp and calls is a better way to reach them than emails.

I’m the owner of a Sri Lankan tour company. We get clients from all around the world and book tour packages for them, which includes the hotel, activities, and sightseeing opportunities.

What challenge were you trying to address with Marketing Chrome?

I didn’t know much about SEO and marketing. One of my friends told me about them and how they can increase clientele through marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team edited our WordPress site, adding content and video. They also performed keyword research and on-page SEO. After that, they started link-building. The team also implemented Google Ads.

What is the team composition?

I talked with one person who acted as the project manager.

How did you come to work with Marketing Chrome?

After hearing about them, I did my own research. I received a marketing proposal for them. I wanted to see what was going to happen.

How much have you invested with them?

Each month, we spent $250.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2018–April 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After a few months, I started receiving new inquiries and bookings. Before, all bookings came from TripAdvisor or other third-party companies. Now, they’re straight from my website. Bookings increased throughout time.

What Marketing Chrome said in the proposal is what they gave to me. They knew how much time it would take for certain keywords to rank. Unfortunately, we stopped working together because of a terror attack that impacted Sri Lanka. At that moment, it wasn’t a good idea to do marketing for our business.

How did Marketing Chrome perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager was close to me throughout the project. She would tell me what was going on. She was always contacting me through WhatsApp. We would communicate through email and phone calls.

Each month, they gave me a report with keyword rankings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their service was good, but I would say I was most impressed with the outcome of their work. They delivered what they said.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to my mind at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work with Marketing Chrome because they deliver what they say. It’s not only the SEO they care about. They fixed my content and offered suggestions for the UX. Their team cared about the conversions.
