We were building a patient-facing AI product that needed to feel trustworthy and simple — which is genuinely hard to design for. Mara came recommended by another founder and the fit was immediate. They pushed back on a few of our early assumptions, not in a difficult way, but in the kind of way that makes you realize you weren't thinking about the user clearly enough. The final product design reflected that rigor. Backed by Hugging Face founders, we had high standards for design quality. Mara met them. What stood out most was their ability to combine strong product design judgment with genuine user empathy. They didn’t just execute the brief; they challenged early assumptions in a thoughtful way that improved the final product and made it feel more trustworthy and simple.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mara Bureau could have done differently?

A fair answer would be: nothing major stood out as a concern. If you want to keep it balanced, you could say that the only possible improvement would have been even more proactive communication around early tradeoffs, but overall they were strong and collaborative.
