Maple and Sketch Inc.

Maple and Sketch is a software development company in Ontario that builds custom Shopify themes, apps, and features, along with custom web applications and complete ecommerce sites. We work with businesses that have outgrown their current setup or are paying for apps that don’t quite fit their needs.

Our founder has over 15 years of software development experience, including hands-on work with Shopify themes. Clients often come to us because they want a specific look or feature their theme doesn’t offer, or because they’re paying a monthly fee for an app that covers only part of what they need. We can build that functionality directly into the store, often replacing the app, so the client has full control over how it works and what it costs.

We also build custom Shopify apps, such as faster and more relevant product search, customer tools, and store-specific workflows. When Shopify doesn’t provide something a business needs, we build it as a full-stack feature. For example, we built print-to-PDF tools for a printing business, with the logic, file generation, and store integration handled end to end. We also create custom widgets for product pages, collections, checkout, and content sections.

For businesses that need more than a Shopify store, we build complete ecommerce sites, including product catalogues, checkout, customer accounts, order management, and integrations with existing systems. Each site is built with the marketing foundations that support growth: fast page speed, clean URL structure, mobile optimization, metadata, structured data, analytics setup, and reliable hosting. We also offer ongoing SEO support to help clients keep growing their visibility after launch.

We give every client an honest assessment of the best approach, including when a simpler option will do the job. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve, and we’ll recommend the right path.
