What was the scope of their involvement?

Malix Media was in charge of the entire production of our commercial. We worked with them on the concept and the writing. From there, they brought on the actors, built the set, and filmed everything. They also handled the editing and audio mixing.

The deliverables included a 1.5-minute version of the commercial, a 30-second version, and a short-form, phone-friendly, vertical version that was five seconds long. They were all cut from the same commercial.

What is the team composition?

Our main points of contact were Max and Alexander. On the day of the shoot, there were 7–8 teammates from Malix Media on set besides the actors.

We found another commercial online that we liked, looked up who made it, and came across Malix Media.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from January–April 2025.

We were very happy with the quality of Malix Media’s work. We got positive feedback from virtually everyone we shared the commercial with. It did well on Instagram, and the feedback from our customers and stakeholders was all positive.

Malix delivered three 30-second commercials, which fulfilled our scope of work with them. What's more, our firm's managing partners love the commercials and have received very positive feedback from people outside of our firm.

Malix could not have been easier to work with. They were extremely responsive over email, took our feedback in stride, and delivered everything we asked for. I was very nervous about the actual commercial shoot, but Malix Media executed it flawlessly - I don't think the day could have gone any smoother. They were also great about reformatting the finished products to meet various specs.

I was extremely impressed by how organized and professional Malix was, while also being very skilled in videography. Typically agencies are either organized OR creative, but rarely both. We’ve worked with Malik Media a few times over the past few years, and they always come up with amazing creatives. Recently, they helped us shoot our summer commercial which was shot at five separate locations. In addition, they cast three actors for the video. Once they delivered the final commercial, we used it across a variety of platforms to promote our brand.

Prior to the shoot, I worked with Alex (Creative Director/Co-owner) and Max (Owner/Operator). On the shoot day, the team also included a camera crew, a director of photography, a lighting crew, a sound crew, a stylist helping with all of the wardrobe, and I served as the client rep on our side.

The entire team was absolutely amazing. We were all on the same page ahead of time which had a lot to do with Alex and Max’s prep work that went into it. Alex and Max deserve all the kudos.

Malix Media did a very good job of capturing our brand. From start to finish, the team was amazing. The finished product is exactly what we were looking for. They had such creative ideas and the video shoot was seamless. The commercial will last for years to come. When we posted it on social media, everybody was so excited about it and it is now one of our top-viewed commercials. People were really impressed and applauded the work that they did. It’s a funny, lighthearted, and engaging video that captured our brand really well.

Malix Media delivered on time and on budget. In the months leading up to the video shoot, they constantly pitched ideas and ways to adjust the script to make it better. We felt confident the entire time because of how organized they were.

Project management was great; they were communicative and kept up with our budget and schedule by adapting to our timelines. Regarding communication, we used email, text, Zoom, Google Meet, and in-person meetings.

They were the first company we’ve worked with that helped us make a creative and bold advertising concept. Other companies were boring, and Malix Media made a different, interesting, and exciting work. Overall, they could think outside the box and take our little ideas to make them something great.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Malix Media has helped us address many production needs. Typically, we provide them with a storyboard, and they help us brainstorm ideas for the final product, depending on our end client’s requests. If our client has a vision but is unsure how to execute it, Malix Media assesses the project and makes recommendations based on their goals. 

We’ve worked together to create video commercials for social media, television, digital out-of-home, and digital banner ads. They’ve been responsible for casting actors, organizing video shoots, and editing content down to the final commercial. When our clients haven’t had the budget to hire actors, Malix Media has sometimes directed their employees during shoots instead. They’ve also sourced music and produced animated videos for us. 

For radio projects, we’ve shared scripts, and the team has helped us find voiceover talent based on demographics and tone of voice. Additionally, they’ve scheduled recording sessions and edited radio spots consisting of voiceover audio and music.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve worked on so many projects that it’s hard to pinpoint specific feedback, but our clients have always been happy with the results Malix Media has delivered.  We’ve been pleased with their ability to deliver engaging content, particularly for digital out-of-home commercials which lack audio.

Their video commercials have performed exceptionally well on social media, garnered several shares, and consistently increased user engagement. One of our longstanding clients has commented on the superior quality of Malix Media’s work compared to our other production partners.

How did Malix Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Malix Media has managed projects exceptionally well. They’ve presented formal timeline estimates, which they’ve consistently met. Even for projects with tight turnaround times, they’ve submitted high-quality, buttoned-up deliverables on time with minimal back and forth. In those instances, they’ve remained enthusiastic and found creative methods to achieve success. 

We share similar working styles and company cultures, which has made our partnership feel like a truly collaborative effort. They’re a team of great people, who typically over-communicate, which works for us. Furthermore, they’ve always kept the end client in mind and haven't charged us when we’ve gone over our review limits. We’ve used Asana to track time internally, which we’ve shared with them. We typically meet via Zoom and communicate via text.

Malix Media has consistently over-delivered and presented our clients with thoughtful, customized solutions. I’ve worked in advertising for 20 years, and they’ve become my go-to production partner. I’ve been impressed by their creative approach to problem-solving and unique collaboration style. Depending on our client’s needs, they’ve gone above and beyond to staff the right team for shoots. They’ve made a concerted effort to make us look good and ensure our clients’ success, which we’ve appreciated.

IMC Construction is a full-service, national, construction management firm headquartered in the Philadelphia area. IMC Construction’s experience in preplanning and construction includes facilities for diverse market sectors such as commercial, hospitality, multi-family, healthcare, science and technology, education, industrial, and retail.

IMC provides a full range of preconstruction and construction services including lean, sustainable/NetZero, and IPD methodologies. I am the marketing coordinator at IMC.

We've hired Malix Media for several different projects, including video testimonials, an employee We're IMC video, and more recently our 2222 Market Street series.

Our marketing objective for the 2222 Market Street Web series was to increase our presence in the Philadelphia marketplace and to inform our audience of the complex projects we are able to complete successfully for our clients.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've used their team in the past and have always been delighted with their work. I wasn't at IMC when we first hired them so I cannot speak on that but I can speak on the projects I've done with them since I've been at IMC.

I still choose to work with Malix Media because they're personable, they're very responsive, knowledgable, helpful, and they produce amazing content for us.

Prior to starting, we researched how other firms were creatively highlighting their projects. One of our industry partners had recently done a web series that caught our eye. We reached out to them to discuss how they went about their process and the results of their campaign. We then hired Malix Media, to help plan, film, and produce our videos.

We created a production schedule based on the project timeline with an outline of how each episode would follow a similar sequence (intro, exposition, rising action, climax, and resolution). Each episode required two days of filming which included the conflict, construction process, and resolution.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

The marketing team worked with the project team and Malix Media to create the videos. Malix Media coordinated the project schedule milestones with the project team.

Malix Media would send us videos to review and give edits as needed. Malix Media was very organized and kept us on schedule to make sure we were getting the videos reviewed and finalized on a timely matter.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All three finished videos surpassed the analytics goals we set, and we received positive feedback from current clients and prospective clients. The three episodes have shown our clients that we can handle big projects, address challenges, and continue to be a major team player in the Philadelphia market. This project continues to gain publicity in Philadelphia, and we're excited to showcase our last episode.

Malix Media was very organized and responsive. They always made sure to communicate to us any issues or their schedule. They were very quick to get us their video and to work on our edits.

They took the time to know our industry and help us understand what would be helpful. They helped build a script for this especially when we weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do. I also believe their video production skillset is amazing. They really can bring together multiple clips and make it into a video.

I’m the CEO of WAATR, and we’re all about sustainable hydration. We’re based in Miami, Florida, and we have quite a few products in the area of hydration.

Malix Media helped us do some marketing. We specifically hired them for their video production services because we wanted to do something cool for one of our products.

They prepared a 38-second press video, and it featured 5–6 actors from their side. They also provided their own equipment and studios, and they were in charge of editing and everything else. The video is live on YouTube and other social media channels. We’re still working with them on other projects.

I found them online, and after reading their reviews, I made the decision to work with them. I also saw their Instagram account, and they did a good job for some of the clients they had. I already hired them for a video project last January 2019, and three years later, I hired them for a second video production project.

Our second partnership started in June 2021, and it’s ongoing.

They’ve done an amazing job with the recent video they’ve created for one of our products. We’ve also received fantastic feedback from our customers. Internally, we love their work because it represents our overall brand and what we’re trying to achieve.

They’re one of the best video production companies I’ve worked with. Other video production agencies aren’t even close to them because they provide multiple scripts and detailed storyboards. I haven’t seen other teams do that, and it’s why I liked Malix Media in the first place.

There are no project management tools involved in our project. We typically communicate over email and Google Meet.

Their creativity and production quality have been impressive.

Their pricing can be more competitive.

I’ve only had one issue with them which concerns the photography licensing fee they wanted to apply in our partnership, which they didn’t disclose beforehand. Overall, they can be more upfront about their policies and procedures.

Our internal staff and clients were all thrilled with the quality of the work that Malix Media produced — the team was able to take boring content and turn it into something educational and fun at the same time.

Additionally, Alex and the team got some great performances from our employees, which was a feat in and of itself — it was quite challenging, but everyone was pleased with the performances of the talents involved.
