Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Chief Product Officer at Crowd Mobile, a public global technology company that creates digital platforms and mobile products.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Maio Software House?

We wanted a minimum viable project (MVP) for our mobile payments project. In addition to the mobile application, we needed a web app for administrative purposes.

What were your goals for this project?

Since we planned the project as a blockchain, the backend needed to be secure from any possibility of abuse or unauthorized credit acquisition.

How did you select this vendor?

We found them on Clutch. Despite being a young and small software house, we decided to hire Maio Software House because they had experienced developers onboard.

Describe the project in detail.

The scope called for iOS and Android apps built on secure PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure. The app would reward users with credits for scanning specific QR codes. The admin panel would create the codes while users registered for the codes via the app. The solution would also award credits for providing personal data or social media accounts. However, the project is in stealth mode and current details are confidential.

What was the team composition?

We worked with one project manager, three backend developers, two frontend developers, and a DevOps contractor. Both the frontend and backend teams had a middle and senior, one of which served as the project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered the internal MVP on time within the three-month schedule.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They worked in Scrum with weekly sprints. The workflow was effective. Sometimes we had to wait longer for bug fixes, but they delivered everything we agreed upon.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They had a flexible approach to the partnership and development. The team adjusted the product to our needs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As with other vendors, their estimates weren’t always accurate.
