I’m the services marketing manager for North America at Softchoice. We’re an IT solutions and services provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Maguire Marketing Group?

We’ve engaged Maguire Marketing Group to support multiple projects one of which involved expediting and collecting new leads for our managed service offerings.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Maguire Marketing Group has developed marketing strategies and a campaign for us. Their team built packaging for kits, which they nominated customers to receive from our sales team. They also created the written content for the campaign. With guidance, their team also created our go-to-market pitch, crafting a message to simply articulate our solutions and services to customers. Their team has provided infographics and customer presentations for us quickly.

What is the team composition?

I work with Michelene (Maguire Marketing Group, Managing Director) directly. She has a whole team of writers and graphic designers behind her.

How did you come to work with Maguire Marketing Group?

A former colleague who liked their work recommended Maguire Marketing Group. Through the projects their team has supported, our working relationship has grown. They really think through the customer lens and we’ve been very happy with their output, which is why we continue to partner on projects with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000 for their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in June 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The impact of some of their efforts is hard to measure such as messaging. Their team simplified our go-to-market messaging for our organization of more than 800 salespeople, which is really important because they deliver it to customers. One of the projects we did together resulted in nine signed statements of work, resulting in approximately $100,000 in new managed services revenue.

How did Maguire Marketing Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Skype for business to coordinate but communicate over emails mostly. They’re great. I have a huge workload, which means my timelines can be ambiguous. Their team has dealt with a lack of clarity well. They not only make sure that they’re executing within the time frame but also help me do the same.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maguire Marketing Group thinks about their customers. What’s most impactful that they have ideas about how to solve our problems. Providing an external, fresh perspective to simplify the messaging and create the campaign strategy have been their most impressive skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you engage them early. Don’t necessarily bring them a fleshed-out idea because that’s where they shine. There’s always an opportunity to engage freelancers who can do what you ask them to but there’s a whole different impact when you can have someone who thinks about how to solve your problem.
