I’m the owner of a boutique family law firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mad Scientist Web Design?

I hired them to create my website and design a new logo.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They came up with ideas based on the preferences I gave them. Their team emailed me several colors, fonts, and logo options. I’d give them my feedback and they’d revamp each version. We eventually settled on a new logo and color scheme.

Since I’m not very tech-savvy, Dale (Owner & Lead Developer, Mad Scientist Web Design) handled the entire development of my one-page website. He’s also helped with email issues and technical problems that arise. 

What is the team composition?

Dale is the only person I’ve been in contact with. 

How did you come to work with Mad Scientist Web Design?

I followed a referral from another attorney who recommended Dale’s services. After looking online and seeing how expensive other companies were, I didn’t consider anyone else. I just wanted my website to show my skills, so I didn’t need a really expensive developer and Dale’s price is reasonable. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $600 for his services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2019 and our engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The website itself is great. It conveys information in a way that everyone can understand and it’s easy to navigate. Nowadays, it feels like an expectation for attorneys to have a great website, so I’m hoping this site will help me gain more clients. However, it hasn’t been live for long enough to know if people have found me online.

How did Mad Scientist Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve managed the project perfectly. I’ve been able to contact them over the weekend and after work hours if I have an email issue or need assistance. Dale is always available for me.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dale is more personable than any other vendor—he’s available when I need him and I enjoy working with Dale. Email is very important for my business, so if I’m not getting emails from the court or other attorneys, it’s detrimental to my work. Dale makes sure these issues are solved, working around the clock to get the job done. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of for them to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be specific about what you want and express that to them. Even though I didn’t fully know what I wanted, Dale still did a great job.
