I’m the CEO of Hindus for America, a nonprofit organization working for the well-being of Hindus living in America. We have multiple ventures in education and digital media spaces.

What challenge were you trying to address with Laya Partners?

We needed to build an AI-powered news platform from the ground up. The objective was to automatically turn raw newspaper PDFs into clean, rewritten articles and deliver them to our readers as a daily newsletter without needing a manual editorial team. That meant we needed a full solution, including an automated pipeline that reads and processes hundreds of articles per edition, a public website to publish them, and the infrastructure to host it all reliably.We’d never had a website before, so we needed a partner who could take our vision and deliver a complete, working product end-to-end.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Laya Partners has handled the entire project end-to-end. They started with a discovery phase, assessing our requirements and the technical feasibility. From there, they designed, built, and deployed the full system.

The main deliverables have been:

• }An automated AI pipeline that ingests raw newspaper PDFs, extracts the content, and rewrites hundreds of articles per edition automatically.
• Deduplication and ranking so only clean, relevant articles make it through.
• A public news website to publish the articles, built from scratch.
• A daily email newsletter generated automatically from the processed content.
• Full cloud infrastructure and hosting — frontend, processing services, databases, and AI providers — all set up and operated by Laya Partners.

They’ve owned everything technical, from architecture to production hosting, so we can focus on our content.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The pipeline has processed over 1,000 newspaper PDFs and 52,000 articles, cutting turnaround time from days to under two hours per edition. We’ve grown to over 2,250 newsletter subscribers and gone from having no website to a fully hosted, automated news platform, letting a tiny team run a daily publication that would normally require a full newsroom.

Our KPIs are a mix of operational efficiency and audience growth:

• Processing throughput: total PDFs and articles processed (currently 1,000+ PDFs and 52,000+ articles).
• Processing time per edition: down from days of manual editorial work to under two hours, fully automated.
• Subscriber growth: now 2,250+ newsletter subscribers and climbing.
• Reliability: the pipeline runs every day with no manual intervention.

Together, these let us measure both the efficiency of the automation and our audience growth over time.

How did Laya Partners perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very organized and communicative. They work in clear phases, keep us updated throughout the project, and explain everything in plain language for our non-technical team. They’ve delivered the complete platform on time. Overall, they manage all the technical complexity so we don’t have to.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Two things have stood out: the depth of their AI automation — a pipeline that reads newspaper PDFs and rewrites hundreds of articles automatically — and the fact that they own the entire project end-to-end, from the AI to the website to the hosting. As a non-technical team, having one partner handle everything so we can run a daily publication at scale is genuinely unique.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing significant. The one small thing would be having a little more written documentation for our non-technical team so we can self-serve on minor questions. However, they’re always quick to respond whenever we reach out.
