BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of The Status Bureau, a boutique digital marketing company. I handle first touch with new clients, do research, and put together strategies to get new clients better results.

What challenge were you trying to address with Louder Than Ten?

We had been in business for over 10 years and weren’t profitable or growing, so we hired Louder Than Ten to consult with us to figure out what was wrong and what we could improve.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Louder Than Ten initially led a discovery phase and reviewed our documentation, clients, and client size. The team crunched all the numbers and provided steps and instructions on changing our billing and processes.

We had identified budget pain points that Louder Than Ten helped us solve regarding engagement length, invoice amount, and project management process. They created a strategy for how our engagements would work and how to manage them. Louder Than Ten also gave us project management training and a workshop where they provided access to good and bad projects.

We mainly worked with Rachel (CEO). 

How did you come to work with Louder Than Ten?

They were a referral. We chose Louder Than Ten because they focused specifically on agency consulting and had done similar projects for about 300 companies similar to ours. I liked the fact that they could drop in and answer our questions. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $10,000–$25,000 CAD (approximately $7,300–$18,000)

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–April 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We saw a 65% increase in business success thanks to Louder Than Ten’s work. Before working with them, we went short, not showing enough value or generating enough revenue. Louder Than Ten provided recommendations on how longer engagements would make our clients more revenue and make us more successful. 

How did Louder Than Ten perform from a project management standpoint?

They teach project management, so their performance in this area was a bull’s eye. Louder Than Ten delivered on time and within the budget. They were very responsive through email, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Although the team used their own project management tool, we didn’t need to use it. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Louder Than Ten’s biggest strength was their experience making an agency profitable. Many agencies have the same issues and operate in a vacuum. Louder Than Ten had talked to all these agencies, was familiar with those problems, and knew how to solve them. Overall, their experience was invaluable. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they needed to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t hesitate to call Louder Than Ten at any stage. You might hesitate to contact them, thinking it isn’t the right time, but I advise making that call as soon as possible.
