My company is called Varga Girl Design and I do graphic design, web design, branding, and similar services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logos IT Solutions Inc?

We recently moved office and I wanted to batten down the hatches, so to speak, with security. I wanted to make sure that our network and our files were secure, so I hired Logos.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a conversation, talked about our options, and then Hani (Founder & CEO) came to my office himself to install some hardware and to consult with us about what else we could do to increase our security. One of the suggestions he made was for us to switch from Dropbox to Google Drive since the latter is more secure. 

Part of our contract was for him to monitor our firewall and make sure that if anybody tries to break in, he would be immediately notified, so there’s ongoing maintenance as well.  If we receive an email that seems a bit suspicious, we can send it to him to confirm if it's valid and find out if it's anything to worry about.

There was an instance when my husband needed to be connected to the internet, so Hani sent us the hardware to do that. Even though my husband said that he could do it himself, I’m sure Hani would’ve come in to help. We were walked through the entire process instead.

What is the team composition?

I'm also working with Hani. I'm not sure if there are other members working with him.

How did you come to work with Logos IT Solutions Inc?

I found Logos through a networking group. Hani was recommended by other members and, as I got to know him, I found that he was a really nice guy. I could tell that he’s legitimate and that he actually cares, so I decided to hire him.  

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together for six weeks, starting last July 2021. We have an ongoing contract.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It's really hard to show evidence around the success of their work since we can’t really prove what we’re avoiding. However, I will say that I’ve been sleeping better and now have this peace of mind. I do know of a couple of businesses that have been subject to a ransom attack, even the ones that we thought wouldn't be on the radar, but I don’t have to worry about my business going through that, which is priceless. 

How did Logos IT Solutions Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Hani is very responsive and hands-on. When we have issues with the backup, I’m able to reach out to him for some tech support. I can email him a question and get a reply within an hour. 

What I love about working with him is that he is very smart and technical; he's not your typical IT guy. Hani is great at coming up with a plan, executing it, dealing with unexpected issues, and following through to make sure that everything works the way it should.

Even though I’m more inclined to design, he has never made me feel like I was asking stupid questions. He just has great customer service, is very helpful, and wants to solve all our problems. It's nice to have somebody like that who can reassure us and knows what they're talking about without just selling us their services.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The number one thing about working with Hani is his customer service because that’s rare to come by. He's somebody who's personable, communicative, and incredibly knowledgeable. We can rely on his decades of experience in the IT world.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think so. It has been a really good experience all around.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Most people spend a lot of time making sure that their chairs are ergonomic or that they have the right kind of monitor, but I think security should also be one of those things that they prioritize. It's definitely proving to be more important than ever that we’ve made it a part of our checklists when working from home. I would tell anybody who's sort of on the fence about it to just do it. It takes no time at all, it's not expensive, and the peace of mind it gives you is really invaluable.

I’m the VP and general manager of a family-owned distribution and wholesale business, and we sell industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings as well as assemblies. For the assemblies, we make to order per the customer’s request. We sell globally, but our focus is on the Canadian market. We also distribute in South America and the Caribbean.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logos IT Solutions Inc?

Due to COVID-19, we had more employees that needed to be able to work from home. At that time, we didn’t have a solution that could enable them to communicate with our external customers and internally offsite outside of a cellphone. We then brought Logos IT Solutions Inc to look at what solutions were available through a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, our meetings were focused on the planning stages of the project where we discussed what VoIP system we needed, what hardware we were looking for, and what type of setup we’d need. Soon after, the team’s work has expanded and they began managing all our IT services. Their work involves improving the efficiency of our network and communications since they’ve noticed that our systems have been running slow.

They’ve pointed out some suggestions to help us alleviate the strain on the internet and help mobile employees to run more efficiently without getting knocked off or having slow lagging speed. We still have another contract with a different IT company, but we’re looking hard at switching our business over to Logos IT Solutions Inc.

How did you come to work with Logos IT Solutions Inc?

Hani and I knew each other 15 years ago — he worked for us for a short period of time. He had a sales position. When he left us, we needed to update our computer system and he helped with that project. Soon after that, he left to pursue other interests focused on the line of IT and computer software. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing work began in March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our intention isn’t to save money, but the VoIP system has cut our standard phone bill almost in half. Overall, it has been a double win for us.

How did Logos IT Solutions Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

In the beginning, we’ve discussed the project face to face. However, as we slowly installed what we’ve needed, we began communicating over the phone. Every once in a while, Hani still checks in on us to make sure everything works perfectly.

With our new system, we’re grateful that Hani has an extension number that our internal employees can call whenever they face technical issues. Most importantly, we don’t have any issues with our setup. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed that they’ve been able to improve our network and communications systems even though they're not completely familiar with it. Our main IT company hasn't done anything to help us with our issues and has never offered the same solutions that they've given us. Moreover, they've been transparent about the cost of their services before implementing them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve five people on standby all the time. Despite that suggestion, Logos IT Solutions Inc has tremendously helped us during COVID-19 by enabling us to stay connected with our external customers. We haven't had any lag issues. We also don't need to wait for them to get things done because they implement things very quickly. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about what you want and be open to suggestions. If you're not satisfied, Logos IT Solutions Inc is very good at accommodating customers that aren’t happy with a particular service. We highly recommend working with them, and we’re happy to continue doing business together because we know they’ll always help us find solutions.
