Logo Design Lane designed a logo and business cards for an IT services company. They were also tasked with trademarking the logo.

While they delivered the logo and business cards, Logo Design Lane failed to do the trademarking. Communication wasn’t effective, and the promises they made to the client weren’t met. In the end, this built tensions that soured the relationship.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

I’m the owner of an IT business called Happy IT Solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logo Design Lane?

We wanted to design and trademark a logo.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Logo Design Lane provided us with a logo and business cards. They were also supposed to do the trademarking for me, but they never did.

What is the team composition?

I don’t know.

How did you come to work with Logo Design Lane?

I found Logo Design Lane through their website.

How much have you invested with them?

I invested a total of $600, but $400 is what I’ve gotten ripped off for. I asked them for a refund, which they haven’t provided yet.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked from December 2020–March 2021 before I stopped believing in them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There was no relationship with Logo Design Lane — they lied to me. They’re a scam company that didn’t provide what I asked for; therefore, they slowed me down tremendously. They were the first company that I hired to design and trademark my logo, but the trademarking never got done. They called me to say they would fix it, but they never did.

How did Logo Design Lane perform from a project management standpoint?

Logo Design Lane’s team would call me and tell me to wait two more weeks to get something done, and then, they’d never call me back. Therefore, I had to call them myself, and they’d ask me to wait for another two weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Logo Design Lane lied to me, so there’s no reason to talk about their work or our relationship. The only thing to say about this company is that they’re a scam and want to rip people off.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve everything. Working with them was terrible, and there was no integrity amongst them. The problem is that they lie to people. They extend deadlines and promise over and over again that they will get something done so people don’t complain.

Any advice for potential customers?

The only advice I would give anybody is to not believe in Logo Design Lane, no matter what. Do not use Logo, period.
