Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of a healthcare software technology and consulting firm that services government-regulated health plans and insurance companies in the United States

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Locwise, and what were your goals?

We needed to build custom software from scratch. I am the domain subject matter expert, but the resulting software had to conform to very complicated U.S. statutes and regulations governing the operations of our target customers. We hired Locwise to design and develop the software's backend and frontend and also to serve as the chief software architect

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had worked with members of the Locwise team before they became Locwise, Ltd. I was very impressed with the work they had done and was eager to hire them when they coalesced under the Locwise, Ltd. entity.

They designed and developed a software solution consisting of the following components:

• Python
• Typescript
• Kubernetes & Docker
• Amazon Web Services
• AWS Cognito

There were 4 people on the core team, including:

• the Senior Software Architect
• a project manager
• 2 senior developers

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although we are still seeking our first paying software customer, the products developed by Locwise have been well-received by every potential customer that we have demonstrated the software for.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project management was great, compared with other vendors we worked with. We communicated using MS Teams.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Locwise brings much more than software development expertise to the table. They have served as equal partners with us in designing the product and its functionality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Working with an Israeli team is always challenging because they believe they are the smartest people "in the room." Fortunately, they are usually correct!!
