Local Praxis builds custom operational software for small businesses as a one-time replacement for recurring SaaS subscriptions. Booking systems, customer portals, inventory tools, and rental fleet platforms, built once and owned forever by the client.

Based in Port Aransas, TX. Primary focus is the Texas Coastal Bend tourism economy: vacation rental managers, fishing charter operators, golf cart rental fleets, and retail businesses replacing stacks of three-to-six SaaS tools with a single custom system.
Founder, James Johnson, has prior experience at Apple, Meta, GoDaddy, and a medical device manufacturer. Prior to Local Praxis, built the full booking, CRM, owner portal, and guest messaging stack for a Port Aransas vacation rental company, solo, in production.

Our Story
Local Praxis is a one-person software practice in Port Aransas, Texas. I grew up here; my dad built the IT infrastructure for the Port Aransas school district. Software has been the family trade as long as I can remember.
