I am the co-owner of Creative Candles, a luxury candle line.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with LimeLight Marketing?

Initially, we needed help managing our social media. However, we bought this company five years ago and felt that the branding was in need of a refresh.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LimeLight Marketing handled social media marketing for us. Their team produces a monthly content calendar. Alongside that, they provide the copy and photographs and any additional details for the upcoming month of posts. We primarily use Facebook and Instagram for marketing.

They also provided branding services. LimeLight Marketing provided 3–4 different design concepts to choose from, as well as research into different market segments and how we should approach each one of them. Their team created a new logo for our company, updating and modernizing the design. 

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Brandee (Owner & President) as well as two account managers. We also occasionally worked with a photographer or designer from LimeLight Marketing. 

How did you come to work with LimeLight Marketing?

We were looking for a local, Kansas-City partner. Being a small business, our budget wasn’t huge so we were looking for a reasonably priced company who could take us on as if we were their own brand. I met Brandee through a mutual friend. After meeting with LimeLight Marketing a couple of times, we decided to work with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested around $100,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in October 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We set monthly targeted sales goals, and it’s rare that we don’t hit or exceed those. A lot of that is thanks to their marketing efforts. We’ve seen increased traffic t our website and increased engagement with our social media channels.

How did LimeLight Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

LimeLight Marketing has excellent project management skills. They are very detailed and extremely organized. Every quarter, they walk me through their plans for posting and photography. Our teams primarily communicate through BaseCamp, but we also use HubSpot, email, and Google Docs to collaborate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

LimeLight Marketing’s creativity is unbelievable. Especially at the beginning, they kept bringing us great ideas and I would think there was no way they could ever outdo them. Somehow, they always manage to surprise me. Their content is outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Occasionally, something doesn’t fit our brand, but they’re always incredibly responsive and willing to go back to the drawing board.
