Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of a wedding planning platform that offers a 360° approach to help couples plan their wedding. We aim to bring suppliers and couples together to help them plan a successful wedding. From finding suppliers to accessing emotional support through our network of life coaches, couples that work with us get benefits such as discounts on wedding insurance and honeymoon travel.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lily Pad PR?

As a new business, we needed to find a way to get our name out there and consolidate our brand in the marketplace. To do that, we engaged with Lily Pad PR to help with our marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lily Pad PR supports us with our marketing strategy. Since we’re a new business, we want to ensure that we get recognized online and drive traffic and subscriptions to our platform. They create content and get in contact with media outlets offline and online. 

What is the team composition?

We work with the PR manager.

How did you come to work with Lily Pad PR?

When we were working with our web designers, they recommended we engage with a PR company to get our name known, so we did research and came across Lily Pad PR. We liked Rachel’s (Founder) approach and understanding of our company, something we didn’t see in other competitors that we looked at. She’s married and understands the stress and situations that a couple goes through when planning a wedding.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent £5,000–£6,000 (approximately $6,000–$7,200 USD) with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in September 2022, and it’s an ongoing partnership.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We saw a massive spike in website traffic and social media impressions as soon as the first articles and publications went live. Lily Pad PR creates good backlinks, and the SEO point of view has helped bolster our platform.

Whenever Lily Pad PR gets an article or post about us published, we see an increase in web traffic, social media followers, and impressions in the following days. We have already worked with publications like Manchester Evening News and Metro and digital sites like Yahoo! Mail.

How did Lily Pad PR perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate efficiently through email, Microsoft Teams, and WhatsApp; we haven't had any issues with that. They meet deadlines and make sure everything they promise is delivered. They're proactive and stay on the ball with new ideas.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed with Rachel's experience. She has provided us with great advice and consultancy that has benefited our business; we've leaned on her for many things. She also did a great job showcasing our philosophy; we aim to promote mental health and well-being through our platform, offering sessions with counselors and life coaches.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they can improve. We're really impressed with Lily Pad PR; they've been fantastic. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend engaging in a collaborative approach. Don't get stuck thinking your ideas are the correct ones, and allow Lily Pad PR to work with you in developing a strategy.
