We are an award-winning, full service design agency specializing in providing premium visual identity and branding services for nonprofits.
LightBox started organically as a shared workspace between a few friends in 2015. For many years, it functioned as such, with individuals overlapping minimally. After a few years, Rafael Barahona increasingly focused on inviting other designers into the physical space, seeing an opportunity for designers to network, support each other, and grow professionally. The model was nimble, flexible and empowering.
In 2020, LightBox was reborn as a full service creative studio by friends and partners, Rafael Barahona and Jordan Kauffman. This was the next step in the evolution of LightBox, who retains the Collective (the group who works in the physical space) but will take greater ownership of the LightBox name to offer its services primarily in the nonprofit niche.
We engage clients in self-discovery to empower them to reach their goals and effectively communicate who they are by employing thoughtful, strategic and beautiful design.
