Laguna Media Group started as Small Pond Video Productions in 2002. The founders, who provided high quality video production services for multi-million dollar companies such as American Airlines, decided they could bring this expertise to much smaller organizations. Hence, the original name Small Pond.
In 2004, Silvana Rosero came to the business as a partner to add project management and communications expertise. Because of the success of the model, in 2008 the company became Minority Business and Women-Owned certified, with Rosero at the head of the business. With these changes, the leadership realized that there was a niche to also offer these high quality services to big corporations and to the public sector with the efficiency and agility of a small business.
