BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing and communication for a tier-one parts supplier of commercial vehicles.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with LaDriere Digital Art Studio?

We were trying to update our old-fashioned photography. We have a lot of different products and photos, and we wanted to create CGI products rather than set up a whole new photo shoot.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We communicated about what we wanted, and they created the images. It wasn’t anything revolutionary. The documentation we provided included computer-aided design (CAD) data. That information was very messy and complex, but they worked through it to create professional images.

What is the team composition?

We work with their VP of business development, as well as assigned CGI artists.

How did you come to work with LaDriere Digital Art Studio?

They came to our attention through word of mouth spread in the industry.

How much have you invested with them?

Our total spend with them over the years is around $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2010.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s hard to report specific metrics, as the images go into brochures and presentations, but I can say that we’ve displayed them at tradeshows where thousands and thousands of people have seen them. They’re shown on large video screens inside our booths, and people will continually tell us how cool they are.

How did LaDriere Digital Art Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re really good in this regard. We mostly communicate over email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their high standard of quality and speed of work stand out the most.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really, and this is one of the reasons I’m willing to do this review. I don’t normally review people, but they’re my longest-lasting partner. People can always complain about cost but other companies aren’t better than them in this field either.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

There’s nothing special you need to know, other than making sure that your data is as clear as possible.
