## Portfolio & Awards

### Sprite | Packaging Design & Visual Identity
Design Strategy
The SPRITE packaging design strategy by Labbrand was to identify which of the elements from the original SPRITE visual identity system were best to be leveraged and what was to be further explored.
We explored the Sparkline as a graphic tool for creating dynamic and versatile compositions, used typography design to emphasize the brand’s truth and product variations, and leveraged the color of the bottle to amplify refreshment cues, by means of contrast or integration with the label design.

Creativity & Innovation

To keep the irreplaceable feeling of the natural, crisp flavor of SPRITE when drinking it right after a thirst, the instant moment of liberation and a sudden hit of refreshment is expressed through utilizing visually refreshing and liberating cues (Lemon/Lime, sparkling bubbles, splashes, ice, etc.) that emphasize SPRITE’s Vision and very well reflects the edgy, authentically cool and yet polished personality of SPRITE’s brand identity.

Brand Portfolio Visual Architecture

Following the signature creation, Labbrand was tasked to develop the packaging design for two product categories proposed by the Brand team:

SHAPE represents the core Sprite products (Core + Zero) plus any future flavor variants; thus, the visual architecture for the Shape line must be unified globally to secure brand equity.

EXPAND is a category that ”expands” from the core offerings.
This includes Sprite Fiber+, Sprite Juice, and any future products containing additional ingredients/benefits. Therefore, there is an opportunity to deviate from Shape category’s visual architecture.

The key objective was to express a unique design for each Expand product that still encapsulates Sprite’s brand edge of “cool, sudden refreshments”.

### ES Exhibition & Events: Rebranding & Website
The Challenge
ES Exhibition & Events, with over 30 years of experience across ASEAN, had built a strong reputation for reliability and delivery. However, as the company moved toward higher-value, more strategic projects, its brand no longer reflected its true capabilities.
The challenge was not credibility, but positioning. ES needed to evolve from being seen as a capable executor to a trusted premium partner, with a clearer story and more distinctive market presence.
The Approach
Labbrand led a full rebranding programme covering strategy, identity, and communications.
We began by refining ES’s positioning—defining a more ownable role centred on trust, dedication, and seamless execution. In a crowded category where many players claim similar strengths, the goal was to articulate what made ES different in a way that clients could immediately understand and value.
This led to a clear brand platform, including a new positioning, messaging system, and tagline: “Unwavering Dedication, Confidently Delivered.”
We then developed a refreshed visual identity and translated the strategy into practical tools—brand messaging guidelines, proposal language, and communication frameworks—to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
The Impact
The rebrand created a stronger alignment between ES’s capabilities and how it is perceived in the market.
With a clearer positioning and more structured communication system, ES is now better equipped to engage in higher-value conversations, strengthen client trust, and present itself more confidently across proposals, digital platforms, and business development.
Internally, the project also aligned teams around a shared narrative, improving consistency and clarity in how the brand is communicated.
The Outcome
ES successfully transitioned from a reliable operator to a more clearly defined premium partner—supporting its growth into more strategic, higher-value opportunities.

### Hilton Maldives: Brand & Experience Strategy
For Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa, the challenge would be to arrive at absolute clarity on what the property will be famous for within the minds of target guests, defining what makes it unique as compared to nearby competitive resorts within and outside of the Hilton portfolio, whilst proudly leaning-in to the heritage and iconic status of Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
Labbrand first immersed in an extensive market landscape research along with stakeholder engagements to assess competitive positions, understand target audiences and identify key opportunities to tailor the Resort brand and experience of Hilton.
With thorough understanding and new insights gained, Labbrand developed a strong, unique positioning for Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa that succinctly embodies the warmth and vibrancy of Hilton’s hospitality atop the welcoming nature of the Maldivian people, and culture. ‘A Vibrant Welcome Home’ captures this strategic positioning intent, defining the Resort as one that provides a refined, spirited, and comfortable experience for all guests to feel genuinely at home during their trip here at one of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations.
With the established Resort positioning, an extended value proposition was developed for the ultra-luxurious Residence offer, defining it as a private cove that offers a vibrant and personalized getaway for an intuitive, uninterrupted, and blissfully joyful retreat. A comprehensive experience strategy was also crafted for the Resort and Residence, where unique and highly targeted activation and touchpoint ideas were recommended to enhance the overall stay and experience for guests within the property and island.

### Club Med: Luxury Hotel Brand Creation
Club Med is a French resort chain operating in 30 countries around the world. Club Med finds that Chinese middle and high-class holiday travelers have shorter travel time than travelers in other nations. They also have better insights and value on freedom and life quality than the older generations of travelers. Club Med plans to focus on meeting the needs of those Chinese customers while avoiding diluting its brand essence. Therefore, a new brand called Joyview is launched especially for the Chinese market.
Challenge
To avoid diluting the brand essence of Club Med. Club Med has built resorts in Yabuli, Dong Ao Island and Guilin in China. Club Med wants to create a more flexible new brand and avoid diluting its mother brand essence. The new brand should have no overlap with its mother brand to avoid competition between brands.
Solution
Based on the core brand attributes and positioning, we created a new brand called Joyview by ClubMed, including its English name and Chinese name 宜境 [yí jìng]. Both the English and Chinese brand name contain the meaning of pleasant and relaxing, combining the authentic nature and the friendly ambiance. When people read about it, the image of a “precious landscape” will jump into their vision from the text, and make them longing for the trip, that’s the magic we give to this new brand.

In order to provide a premium short holiday experience, we implemented a new hospitality concept “COLOR YOUR LIFE WITH COLORS OF NATURE”, embodying it in every design element throughout the whole customer experience journey. The identity design includes brand signature, VI system, restaurant identity and other brand application, for discerning travelers seeking an escape in nature, with a unique French touch from Club Med.

### Coca-Cola x Porsche: Packaging Design
Labbrand was commissioned to design a limited edition sleek can, an exclusive collection gift set, and animation that effectively conveyed the essence of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
Challenge
The challenge was to develop a packaging set that clearly showcased the elements of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia while maintaining the iconic Coca-Cola brand identity. The co-branding marketing strategy with packaging design needed to be interactive and engaging, capturing the excitement and thrill of the race track experience.
Solution
Labbrand designed a limited edition sleek can and exclusive collection gift set that featured the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car. The design incorporated classic race scenes, such as tire tracks, headlight shadows, turning shoulders, and the striking grille of the car. These intricate details created a visually powerful image that symbolized the idea of “double the pleasure, full-speed ahead.” The co-branding marketing strategy utilized Coca-Cola’s 300 Sleek Can format and incorporated graphics representing the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. An on-pack interactive concept and e-commerce-related promotions were developed to offer consumers a selection of Porsche branded premiums, incentives, and admission tickets.
Impact
The Coke x Porsche packaging design, gift set, and animation successfully captured the essence of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia while maintaining the recognizable Coca-Cola brand identity. The limited edition packaging resonated with consumers, creating excitement and anticipation. The on-pack interactive concept and e-commerce promotions further enhanced consumer engagement. The collaboration reached a wide audience, generating positive brand exposure and creating a memorable experience for consumers.

### LinkedIn | Chinese Name Creation
Labbrand successfully created 领英 [lĭng yīng], a Chinese brand name that matches the phonetics of LinkedIn, capturing the attention of the Chinese audience through its simplicity and creativity.
Challenge
LinkedIn faced a significant challenge when it came to expanding its membership base in China. Despite being the world’s largest professional network, with over 300 million members spanning every Fortune 500 company and 200 countries, LinkedIn recognized the need for a more targeted approach to connect with the Chinese audience. To achieve this goal, the company tasked Labbrand with the critical mission of Chinese brand name creation, tailored to resonate with the unique cultural context and language of Chinese consumers.
Solution
The brand journey entailed three rounds of name creation, accompanied by thorough linguistic assessments in Mandarin and five major Chinese dialects.

Recognizing the intricate trademark challenges prevalent in the Chinese market, a legal evaluation was also conducted to verify the name’s availability for trademark registration. Ultimately, the chosen Chinese brand name, 领英 [lĭng yīng], was meticulously selected. This name ingeniously merges 领 [lĭng], meaning “to lead,” with 英 [yīng], signifying “elites.” This harmonious combination reflects key attributes synonymous with LinkedIn, encompassing leadership and excellence.

Upon subjecting the name to qualitative and quantitative testing, 领英 garnered substantial recognition and preference among Chinese consumers. Interestingly, the significance of “leading elite” in LinkedIn Chinese brand naming diverges from the global positioning of “connect everyone.” This divergence furnished invaluable market insights, spurring ideation within the LinkedIn brand team. Amidst a landscape teeming with local recruiting websites and grassroots social platforms, Chinese professionals were seeking a platform of international stature and authority.

Dive into the strategic partnership between Labbrand and Gucci Group, where cultural insights shape the trajectory of a global luxury brand in the fiercely competitive Chinese market.

### QUORN | Brand Activation & Repositioning Strategy
Labbrand assisted Quorn, a meatless food brand, in overcoming low receptivity in Asian markets and repositioning the brand. Through market localization and the REACT methodology, Labbrand developed a brand communication and repositioning strategy and for Quorn’s expansion into the RTE meals category.
Challenge
Quorn encountered low receptivity in Asian markets due to the prevalent belief that healthy food sacrifices taste. Additionally, the brand faced challenges associated with frozen food and RTE meals, which were often perceived as unhealthy and as a last resort option.
Solution
We take the REACT (Recalibrate, Engage, Analyze, Crystalize, Test) methodology to tackle the project, to find out the positioning of the brand and shed light on the way to activate the Quorn Brand:

Recalibrate: Desktop research & Semiotic Analysis

We decode the elements in the elements in communication for FMCG and adjacent categories (e.g. consumer foodservice), which portray “the theme” for a more informed decision on food packaging design and brand communication.

Engage, Analyze, Crystalize: Online Food Diary & Communities + Trendsetters Ideation Workshop + Brand Name Creation

Through this process, we validate the hypotheses derived from desk research with consumers and further deep dive into the U&A, benefits and pain points of frozen & RTE meals consumption. We are then able to enrich brand identity and expression with materials inputs from TA. We also co-create the brand name and packaging design of the ideal Asian RTE that would be attractive to this segment of consumers.
Impact
Labbrand created a new logo for Quorn, featuring the strapline “Made with Mycoprotein” to shift associations away from bland taste and highlight the nutritional benefits. Quorn’s brand vision of creating a “World of Good” remained intact while empowering Asian consumers to make positive changes for themselves, their families, and the environment.

### Alibaba | Brand Identity Creation and VI Design
Labbrand embarked on a transformative journey as it undertook the challenge of redefining the brand identity of Alitrip, transforming it into Fliggy and developing a comprehensive visual identity (VI) design system. Positioned as an online travel agency (OTA) under the Alibaba umbrella, Fliggy set its sights on becoming the premier option for millennials shaping their travel dreams, with a special emphasis on international voyages. Labbrand aimed to create a unique and impressive brand image that could differentiate Fliggy in the highly competitive OTA market in China.
Challenge
Labbrand faced the challenge of creating a distinctive brand identity for Fliggy that would stand out in the crowded OTA market. The goal was to capture the attention of millennials and effectively communicate Fliggy’s diverse, convenient, and quality travel-related services. This challenge demanded a fusion of creativity and strategic thinking, ensuring that Fliggy’s essence was not just seen but deeply felt, setting it apart as a beacon in the realm of travel experiences.
Solution
Labbrand worked closely with Alibaba to create a distinct and lively brand image for Fliggy. Instead of conventional approaches, Labbrand designed the lovable mascot “Fliggy” as a flying piggy, representing the concept that “traveling is just like being a pig – we eat, sleep, and have fun.” The design featured unique elements like “flying hairs” to depict Fliggy’s dynamic movement against the wind, symbolizing speed and efficiency.

Yellow was identified as the main color, with a golden band outlining the Fliggy icon, representing lightning and evoking warmth and inspiration. The pink nose symbolized flushed cheeks of travelers, and the white base represented purity and passion.

### XCMG | Brand Internationalization Strategy
XCMG Group, a Chinese construction machinery company that ranks among global top 3, is undergoing rapid development and continuously advancing its internationalization efforts. The brand expects to establish a strong global brand presence and become a leading figure in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
To successfully penetrate the global market, XCMG Group has chosen Labbrand Group as its strategic partner to develop and implement a comprehensive global brand expansion strategy. Leveraging our unique branding methods for brand internationalization, Labbrand aims to support XCMG Group in elevating its global competitiveness on the international stage, thereby contributing to the long-term development and market share expansion.
The first step to success is identifying the target market accurately. Labbrand is closely aligned with XCMG’s business structure and brand ambitions, focusing primarily on the European and American high-end markets, with a particular emphasis on the US market. Because the European and American high-end markets attach great significance to brand strength and development, leveraging the power of branding while strategically entering these markets presents an excellent opportunity to enhance visibility and recognition.
However, XCMG Group’s brand awareness falls short within the European and American high-end markets. Moreover, a disconnection persists between brand communication, positioning, and the actual demands of consumers. In response, Labbrand strategically focuses on 4 key dimensions: brand core, brand image, brand communication, and corporate culture, to craft an entirely revitalized brand identity for XCMG to help embrace more developmental opportunities in the targeted markets.

### Lancôme: Sustainability Market Research
Background
Lancôme purchased the Domaine De La Rose estate in Grasse in 2020 to create sustainable products for their new range of fragrances, which aligned with their “Sustainability” goals. Three films around this new rose estate have been created, which would be globally showcased to promote Lancôme’s brand and hopefully boost the launch of the new Absolute fragrance. While these films were available in other regions, they have not yet been released in China. Consequently, Lancôme was seeking Labbrand’s assistance in conducting a sustainability market research to assess Chinese consumers’ perceptions and reactions to these films before their official release on Chinese social media platforms.
Challenge
Sustainability has remained a vague and formal concept associated with environmental protection and resources/cost saving for most Chinese consumers. The key research objectives not only included an Investigation of Chinese consumer’s reactions to Grasse’s communication films, product & brand perception but also a deep understanding of how they would link sustainability with luxury through film messages and how Chinese consumers would expect sustainability potentially to help Lancôme better resonate with Chinese consumers.
Solution
Labbrand adopted the qualitative research methodology to explore the Chinese audience’s perception of Lancôme Grasse communication films and understanding of sustainability. Labbrand was able to illustrate a vivid universe of Lancôme from a consumer lens by virtue of planet projective exercise and gained solid answers from the evaluation of each video through the EPC method (the emergence, preference, and consistency) in focus group discussion with consumers. The market research also had a deep dive into Consumers’ attitudes to sustainability and its manifestation in the beauty category.

### Hiton La Festa Phu Quoc: Launch Campaign Strategy
Challenge
As Vietnam’s largest island, Phu Quoc is rising to become one of the world’s leading destinations with many luxury hotels and resorts opening in recent years to attract tourists with beautiful accommodation atop incredible beaches, rich coastal waters, breathtaking sightseeing spots and enriching immersions. Most of these hotels, however, did minimal to celebrate the grand opening of their properties and missed out on establishing a strong presence from the get-go.
La Festa, being the first Curio Collection property in Vietnam, will require a more strategic, creative way in attracting and engaging audiences right from the beginning, using its iconic property and experience to set standards for others’ expectations on the Curio brand and reputation for the future.
Solution
To celebrate the opening of La Festa, Labbrand created a launch campaign strategy that is fronted with an overarching theme ‘Spark Your Inner Curiosity’. The campaign hopes to speak to the hearts and minds of travelers who are innately curious about exploring the wondrous spaces of Sunset Town, Phu Quoc, which are unlike any other major cities or islands in the region, and La Festa, an iconic property sitting right at the heart of its southern tip. With La Festa’s distinct Mediterranean appeal, the property is set to ignite that curiosity with its spectacular spaces and experiences that are created for them to ‘Imagine the Wonder’.
Supporting the overarching theme, Labbrand proposed activation ideas that innately intrigue travelers, appeal to their curious minds, and elevate their discovery experience. These ideas also weave in elements of surprise and delight and are recommended through an ideal content-channel mix for best reach, relevance, and engagement with target audience groups.

### Logitech Brand Tagline Creation & Digital Strategy
Labbrand helped Logitech develop the brand tagline creation and digital strategy for China, differentiating the brand from competitors with strong science background.
MEET THE DIGITAL
Created in 1981, Logitech is the world leader in computer peripherals. It has crafted its sub-brand, the G Series, to deliver the most realistic gaming experience for its consumers in the gaming sector. Focusing on innovation and quality, Logitech designs its personal computer peripherals to deliver the best user experience in the digital world.
UPDATE NOW
In order to differentiate itself from other competitors in the Chinese market, Logitech G Series needs to elevate its brand image amongst Chinese gamers. Before, Logitech was considered a non-gaming brand despite having superior quality peripherals fit for gaming. Logitech G Series asked Labbrand to develop a comprehensive brand and digital strategy for its brand in China.
SCIENCE IS BOUND TO WIN
The first step to introduce Logitech G to the Chinese market is creating a relevant Chinese tagline which expresses the key brand attribute and directly communicates to true gamers in China. The brand tagline creation 绝胜科技 [jué shèng kē jì] stands out. 绝 [jué] means absolutely/ gloriously, while 胜 [shèng] means win/ wins. The combination, 绝胜, implies Logitech’s confidence and determination to beat out its competition. 科技 [kē jì] means technology, indicating Logitech G’s scientific expertise. After the tagline is completed, detailed brand and digital strategy were designed to successfully launch Logitech G in China to showcase Logitech G’s strong science background and the outstanding performances of its gaming peripherals.
Within two months of the launch, Logitech G received great success in sales and online fan engagement on key social platforms such as Sina Weibo and Weixin. After all, science is bound to win.
