Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder of a UK based consultancy that has produced and marketed a unique product based around black history, mentoring and personal / professional development. Our product is 'The Lineage Timeline: 8000 years of African and European History on a single scroll'. It is currently available at www.remixhistory.com and on Amazon.com

For what projects/services did your company hire Lab 916, and what were your goals?

Set up Amazon US store and Shopify store around a unique product that was produced and shipped from the UK. Advise on state and federal issues relating to fulfilment, tax. Handle all logistics / sales of all goods based in USA Create and implement advertising campaigns on Facebook, Google, Instagram and more. Advise on future marketing campaigns, spinoff sales products, consultancy ideas, tours and more Also some backend development, after sales help

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I wanted someone who could outline the myriad of fulfilment options and break them down into clear manageable targets. And then help us to carry them out, of course! Our major issue was entering US from a UK market, there are many thorny issues re state and federal laws that need delicate handling. TBH I found them alien compared to our law system I also needed excellent communication, the personal touch is seriously lacking these days. Lab 916 are excellent with communication.

The US facing Amazon store was set up from scratch, all shipping and logistics of a custom product were handled, product fulfilment, Shopify store setup, advertising campaigns on Facebook, Google, Instagram, backend development, after sales help. Also brainstorming marketing pushes around a very unique product.

A lot of ideas had never been tried before, but Vince used proof of other unique projects he'd done and seen and molded them to fit us. His ideas weren't just leftfield guesses. He provided customised research, clear and viable plans that could be tested and implemented easily, clear targets, always positive in his approach.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I can't share those metrics but the set up was outstandingly smooth. We started at literally zero and went on to success very quickly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Effortless. Plenty of long calls, texts, emails back and forth, everything responded to at great speed, even over 8 timezones. We had some hefty personal family issues with a team member on our end, but communication was excellent and they understood our predicaments and carried on with their work with great respect

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a 1 stop shop. Anything they don't know, they research, brainstorm, and get back to you with excellent ideas and talk it out. That in itself is rare, but to add communication and hard work to it is amazing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None.
