In 1986 having returned to Omaha after serving in the US Army, our founder, Jim Kotan, developed the "itch" for computers. He began working with Borland dBase-2 and dBase-3+, then Fox Software's FoxPlus and FoxPro.
In 1987 he started building and selling computers and working with Windows, Unix, and Linux.
In 1999, he started working with Oracle Database version 7 and decided Database was the new path of the business and the rest is history. Since then KCS has worked with customers all over the US.
