I'm the engineering lead at a shipping software company which handles millions of parcel shipments a month.

We wanted to develop a Chrome extension to augment a popular shipping platform to allow our customers to use it and our software simultaneously.

We considered half a dozen other solutions providers and selected Kikbits because of their experience successfully developing browser extensions and their superior communication and collaboration skills.

They designed and developed a Javascript Chrome extension that was released on the Chrome store. The extension was driven by complex front-end hooks and events and communicated with our backend API to augment specific shipping platforms with additional functionality.

We worked with the company's principal engineer, Bilal Asif.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully launched the extension to the Chrome store and had customers using it right away. This ended up being a new channel of business for us that has continued to be strong for the last year and has required very little maintenance.

The project management and communication style was great. We conducted daily standup meetings using Zoom and Kikbits never missed a deadline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their dedication to the project's success was very refreshing. It felt like they were a part of the team the entire time we worked together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing stands out, the project was a huge success for us and we'd be happy to work with Kikbits again.

Plexus has worked with Kikbits on a number of projects. For a Chrome extension, we wanted to find a partner with specific experience in this area and Kikbits performed extremely well.

We have since progressed to another project for a print and design customer based in Ireland. Kikbits came on board to take over from an out going team which is never a simple process. Kikbits managed the complete development life cycle working closely with our customer.

To provide quality results for our customers and develop solutions based on their requirements.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Both were small projects that were managed well by Kikbits. I am happy to recommend Kikbits to other potential partners.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is very effective and is the main reason we continue to use Kikbits. Communication is excellent and tasks/processes are managed thoroughly. As a result, we have never had any confusion in the delivery of solutions and this success comes from Kikbits experience delivering software solutions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with their communication and delivery times.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As with any software team managing multiple projects there is a bit of rotation amongst the team members. This is probably normal for any company but would have been ideal to work with the same team consistently. However....delivery times and quality never suffered.

We first started off with the design files, and with the current project specification v.s. what we wanted to achieve. From there we came up with a plan, involving three other developers. Kikbits coordinated and liased with our team regularly and kept us updated ont he progress.

In just 3 weeks, we completed the project, which was my initial estimation. All project specifications have been met, and the project has been completed in a satisfactory fashion.

We used Trello for task sorting as well as Slack, mainly being used for our companies convenience.

Great responsiveness, always on time and always transparent on what is hjappening.

I thought the cost overall was slightly over what I initially budgeted, but other than thatit was great.
