BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Supreme Courts Basketball, a basketball organization that runs the second-largest tournament in Chicago. We do travel team play, conduct training programs, and provide gym rental services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Karben Marketing?

Basically, we needed someone to handle our marketing needs. This mainly involved building a new website, providing SEO services, and managing our Instagram and Facebook pages.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After walking them through our requirements, Karben Marketing started working on the e-commerce website first. They built it from scratch, added the necessary functionalities, and completed it ahead of schedule — the site was super functional, and they quickly addressed any technical issues.

Following that, Karben Marketing proceeded with the SEO work, making sure that we’d pop up first in search results and strengthen our foothold in the industry. They also created new logos for us and updated our website content as needed.

What is the team composition?

We work with six people, including a project manager, SEO specialist, social media person, and Chad (CEO, Founder & Creative Director), whom we’re mostly in touch with.

How did you come to work with Karben Marketing?

They actually worked on some miscellaneous projects for us previously, so we decided to hire them again for this one.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $50,000–$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on this project with them in January 2021, and our engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with Karben Marketing, our gym capacity has been really full. To be more precise, our girl teams have doubled while the boy teams increased by 15%. Our programming has grown by 20% as well. Overall, the results have been phenomenal.

How did Karben Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always on time in terms of deliverables and communication. They also tell me in advance whenever there might be any potential delays or problems, so we could readjust the timeline and make other necessary changes. We communicate mainly via phone call and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Karben Marketing is by far the best company we’ve ever worked with — they have excellent customer service, always deliver on time, and go above and beyond what’s expected of them.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

They could be more clear and upfront in terms of requirements, but that’s just because I’m not really familiar with the technicalities of their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just be honest with them upfront — I always tell them what I need and give them enough lead time to get the job done.
