BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are Prototeam and working with Interface design solutions. I am Prototeam co-founder and lead designer. We have created a design for students' learning system. And we need a development team, which will take a technic side of work.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Monochrome Ultimate Development, and what were your goals?

We cooperate with Monochrome to create an interface for a learning management system. We worked together as one team and we've provided a high-quality product. The challenge was to create a simple, user-friendly, and functional interface and increase student engagement. It was important for us that the majority of students reach the end of their courses.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Monochrome team has experience in learning systems. Several years ago my partner have already cooperated with them: together they worked on online courses system for one business coach. So we decided to work with them, because have good previous experience.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We prepared a technic requirments of the project based on information architecture. After several iterations of discussion we define the approach and they started to work with MVP version. Together we tested result and checked how work database with lessons and users in created interface.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have direct contact with the Monochrome project manager. Also, our designer communicates directly with the front-end developer to define some updates for the design elements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This is a closed entire system for one company, but I can say that we got some good feedback from users, after the system had been launched.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We have meetings twice a week: on Monday and usually on Wednesday. Also our designer communicate with developer every day in a chat during project - they have very close work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with their knowledge and problem-solving skills. If they couldn't solve a problem, they tried to learn the solution and increase their knowledge in this sphere.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think only I would recommend them: increase their team and teach more good developers.
