We searched for web developers, we chose Kadima based on their past projects, design skills, recommendations and SEO abilities.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

After a few conversations and emails Kadima designed and developed our WordPress site from scratch. They worked hard to create the aesthetic we were looking for as well as informed us of all necessary steps needed for a retail shop to thrive. They created all web pages as well as custom designed our E-commerce shop. Walked us through the backend process and all shipping options / requirements.

We had two people from their team work with us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The patience and personal attention we received. Our company has never worked with WordPress before, so they took the time to teach us how to navigate items on our own.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

My company is an e-commerce website that sells travel gear to young nomads that want to explore the world. On our website, you can find gear such as backpacks, security accessories, and other items that improve your travel experience.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Kadima Digital?

We hired Kadima Digital to help us get more sales through search engines. SEO.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to stop competing with Amazon! They were killing us in every search result. Kadima helped us find long-tail keywords that gave us a better shot at making sales in the short-term.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I selected this vendor through a referral from a colleague. After getting Kadima's contact information, I scheduled an introductory call which lead to a proposal. I spoke with 2 of their current clients, and then decided to move forward after agreeing on the strategy.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The first thing Kadima did was do a full analysis of my company website. They understood the software we use (Woocommerce), and began pointing out the issues that really hurt my website from ranking in search results. After they fixed those issues, they made a list of optimization ideas that we would implement in order of priority.

These included some design suggestions such as making product videos for our best-sellers to keep users on the website for longer. After implementing these ideas with our target keywords in mind, we developed a plan to release content. Kadima would help us create SEO friendly content and distribute it so that we can get more shares and exposure.

We are now in the middle of an ongoing link-building campaign with them to increase authority to our site with the hopes of competing with the big guys such as Amazon!

What was the team composition?

The size of the team never changed. I was in contact with 1 account manager the whole time, which I highly preferred. I loved that there was 1 person I could go to that handled everything from the proposal, to strategy, to implementation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our bounce rate went down from 72% to 59% over the course of our work with Kadima. They are not just knowledgeable in SEO but in UX as well which has really helped our sales increase. In the first six months, we saw sales from Organic search increase 11.4%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our account manager was a great communicator. He added my team to a slack channel where we would discuss milestones, and shared a project tracker where we would see all of the work being done real time. Great communication!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive thing about them is their ability to teach you about SEO in a simple way, and really show you the "why's" behind their "hows".

Are there any areas for improvement?

One thing I would do better is use less softwares. Kadima uses many different softwares for their workflow between client and vendor, which can get confusing.
