One Call is a solution provider to the worker's comp industry. My role within One Call is the Creative Director within the Marketing Team.

For what projects/services did your company hire Just Add Video, and what were your goals?

One Call partnered with Just Add Video to execute on a series of explainer videos focused on our multiple services. The goal was to create short, engaging animated videos to inform customers of the portfolio of services that One Call provides.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Just Add Video was selected for their experience, quick delivery, cost and creativity.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

General scope was provided for estimate generation. Script was provided for storyboarding and concept creation. Once we provided approvals the video went into production. Video draft was provided 3-5 weeks after approval.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Just Add Video approval process is pretty easy. They provide a preview link that allows for you to provide feedback at specific time stamps in the video.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are seeing great engagement from the video content that Just Add Video created for us. We use the media on our website, social, and within our trade show presence.

Just Add Video is a small shop, so you will be working directly with the production team during the life of your project. The team is easy to work with and captures feedback accurately and effectively. They will go the extra mile to deliver on time and on budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are great creative problem solvers. They do a really good job at communicating messages in a visually engaging way.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There have been instances where I would like to have had a call to discuss drafts when they are submitted. This would provide an opportunity to talk through any questions regarding design choice or creative direction.

I’m the marketing director of a global transportation, logistics, and relocation company. I oversee the strategy and execution of our marketing, communications, and advertising efforts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Just Add Video?

We initially hired Just Add Video for their video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our partnership with Just Add Video started with video production, but it since moved to other forms of media such as designing outdoor signages and radio ads.

Their most notable work was for our new local moving brand in partnership with an NFL football team, and their deliverables included in-game activation, jumbotron signages, animated videos, and radio ads that were played during pre and post-game shows.

Just Add Video also developed a 30-second commercial for local networks — they wrote the script, came up with a storyboard, and executed it in post.

What is the team composition?

For this production project, we worked with the two principals, two videographers, a production assistant, and an audio technician.

How did you come to work with Just Add Video?

I’ve heard of Just Add Video from several colleagues who’ve had experience working with their team in the past. From there, I knew they could execute and deliver this project in a condensed timeline.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $100,000 on this particular project.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in May 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Feedback from our customers has been generally positive. The video they produced helped increase our Facebook followers and grew our revenue by 50% within the campaign timeframe. While it’s hard to pinpoint if the improvements can be attributed to their work, I’m confident it had an impact for sure.

How did Just Add Video perform from a project management standpoint?

Just Add Video delivered their requirements on time and on budget, so they did quite well from a project management perspective.

We used Asana in-house and Vimeo to share feedback. We typically communicate through email and phone, but we also used to have in-person meetings before the pandemic.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their ongoing customer service and their willingness to work on our timelines and budgets — their film and animation skills are also phenomenal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they could improve on because I’m very happy with their services.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend coming up with your own ideas on projects instead of giving them a blank slate. Help educate them on your business, goals, and what you’re trying to convey to your audience.

For what projects/services did your company hire Just Add Video, and what were your goals?

We have worked with Just Add Video for the 6 years I've been at NextAfter, and they continue to level up their work as we grow. Most recently, we asked them to help us create Willy-Wonka-like promo videos for our Nonprofit Innovation & Optimization Summit, as well as run all video production for the live event.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've trusted them with video work for 6 years, and they continue to serve us well, grow, and improve with every single project. If we have video needs, there's not even a question in my mind about using anyone beside Just Add Video.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We had a vision in mind to create our own versions of the children from the Willy Wonka film to illustrate common pitfalls of fundraisers and nonprofit marketers. We would use individual promo videos featuring these characters with each story culminating into an on-stage performance at our actual event. Just Add Video helped bring that vision to life through storyboarding, consulting on scripts, filming, directing, graphic, and animation. They then helped produce and execute the video needs of the live event – both with on-stage video graphics, session filming, and live streaming.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Brent was the primary person we worked with throughout the creative process and production of the promotional videos. Luke, Brent, and their full crew all came to produce the live event. It was sort of a race against the clock to get everything done because we were a bit behind in getting the project rolling. Thankfully, we have high trust in Just Add Video and we often have minimal feedback on the high-quality work they produce.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This was probably the biggest single project we've worked on together – and the main learning was that we need to get started earlier next time around. It was a huge success as we heard countless attendees rave about the promotion of the event as well as the implementation of the them from the website, to videos, marketing campaigns, and the live event itself.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There's literally nothing they can't do. Always impressed by the speed they work, quality they turnaround in a short time, and their overall attitude about the people they work with. They did incredible work and had a ton of fun. They also found ways to improve on every single project. Even after 5 years of producing our event, there are new creative ideas and a higher level of production every single time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As projects get more and more complex over time, we need to get better with ongoing planning, communication, and project tracking. But that's not just on them – that's also on us to have clarity on our videos needs, goals, and timelines.
