The output arrived on schedule and as stated.  As we worked together to develop and refine the idea, the final result of this discovery was substantially different from the original concept. As a result of further technical and commercial input, we are now in a position where the defined product is superior to the original concept.

We mostly used Slack, Google Meets, and email to connect with Junkies Coder.  Since planning and research were the main components of this project, Junkies Coder carried out several technical "spikes" into areas of technical uncertainty and created a thorough development plan with estimates and general themes/phases of work that are extensive and constitute a longer-term development roadmap.  In terms of style, it's rather straightforward since, despite the involvement of a PM, we also have direct access to developers via Slack, allowing us to communicate with individuals finishing the job directly and removing any potential hurdles to communication.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our vision was to create Android and iOS apps that deliver 3 minute micro podcasts to its target audience. We quickly realized that user interface and user experience would be critical to the apps’ success and created a design that would appeal to a high-end market consisting of startup company founders and senior executives at major corporations.

The state-of-the-art user interface design is both attractive and highly functional – providing even first-time app users with quick and easy access to relevant and desirable podcast content. Our investors have been pleased with the progress and we have already successfully raised capital via a few rounds of funding.

In my career, I've worked with a number of software development partners, and what I enjoyed about them and what set them apart was how engaged they were throughout the partnership. Regular check-in meetings were held to ensure that we were all on the same page and that they were on the right track. They are very good at communicating with us and keeping us informed what, why, and how they were doing things.
