What challenge were you trying to address with JMM Technologies?

We hired JMM Technologies to develop a comprehensive Student Information System (SIS) for our university.

What was the scope of their involvement?

JMM Technologies has handled the end-to-end development of our university's SIS. Their work includes:
- Requirement gathering and planning: JMM Technologies has conducted detailed sessions with all university stakeholders (academic, finance, admin, IT) to define workflows, user roles, and data structures.
- System design and development: The team has developed dedicated portals for students (course registration, grades, transcripts, attendance), teachers (class schedules, grading, student performance), admin staff (student records, admissions, scheduling), finance department (fee management, invoicing, reporting), and executive portal (dashboards, KPIs, analytics).
- LMS integration: JMM Technologies has integrated the SIS with our existing Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure a seamless flow of course-related data.
- Data migration and backup: The team has extracted and cleaned legacy data and successfully migrated all historic academic, financial, and student records to the new system.
- Testing and training: JMM Technologies has performed system testing (UAT) with live scenarios and provided hands-on training sessions for all user types.
- Maintenance and support: The team provides ongoing technical support, system performance monitoring, and periodic updates and enhancements.
The main deliverables include a fully functional, role-based SIS platform, complete integration with the LMS, legacy data backup and import, training materials and user manuals, and maintenance and SLA support structure.
While the main development phase has been completed, JMM Technologies continues to provide us with ongoing maintenance and technical support to ensure the system remains up-to-date and fully functional.

- Seamless LMS integration: Grades, attendance, and course updates flow smoothly between the SIS and our LMS, eliminating duplicate data entry.
- Successful data migration: Historical academic and financial records from the past 10+ years were accurately migrated with zero data loss.
- System stability: Since launch, the platform has maintained over 99.9% uptime, with prompt support and resolution of any issues.
