Established in 2001 by Alison Johnson, Michael Koops, and Jon McArthur, local Accountants who had been working independently in accounting practices of differing sizes. Having known each other for a period of time, each felt there was a need to establish their own small business designed specifically to service small business. Due to there being lots of J's K's and M's in the partners' initials, it seemed appropriate to mix these around to come up with the name JKM Accountants. The firm has grown considerably in this small period of time and had to relocate from it's Charters Towers Rd premises to Woolcock St in the Hyde Park Centre Townsville, and another move in 2015 to where we are now located at 146 Charters Towers Road Hermit Park The firm continues to grow on the ideology, purpose, and mission. Which led to its establishment.
