We wanted to get the market details on the pharmaceutical industry in Ethiopia.

JAD Business and Investment Consulting PLC provided us with a feasibility study. Daniel (General Manager) communicated with relevant government agencies on the demand for certain products, contracts, previous purchases, licensing, and permitting needed to set up shop and produce pharmaceuticals in Ethiopia.

I did a Google search on different consultants in Ethiopia. When I talked to Daniel, he seemed to be the one who knew more about the stuff.

The partnership started and ended in March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I would say that the partnership was successful. I got all the information I needed and beyond what I was looking for. Their work allowed us to start putting things in action to make an investment in Ethiopia.

The communication was excellent. They were always updating me in real-time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their punctuality and how they were very well-networked in the government and business industries in Ethiopia. They were also very professional and weren't just trying to pull things together. They had connections and got things done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, I can’t think of anything. They over-delivered and I ended up with reports that went into more depth than what I actually needed. I don’t think there was anything they could’ve done to make things better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear cut on your expectations and what you’re looking for because he can produce results for you in a very short time. They’re always on top of things, so you should also be on top of things.

They gave us the knowledge we needed to start our business, as well as different options we could take. We had a successful project with JAD.

Throughout the project, there was some delay in the timeline. Our teams communicated primarily through Telegram and Zoom.

They were willing to go the extra mile for us, helping us achieve the maximum results.

I’d suggest they have a bigger team to help them deliver on time.

I needed someone on the ground to take care of that part of the business for me.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was very happy with their work. Their team made it a very smooth process, even though processes down there aren’t smooth. What they’re doing is working for them. I encourage them to continue doing what they’re doing. They can expand but keep with the same quality.

How did JAD Business and Investment Consulting PLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via email and phone calls. We have an 8-hour difference. Sometimes we had to call on weekends. Their team was flexible and responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team doesn’t make me feel ignored. They’re responsive, getting back to me on time. They’re very transparent when it comes to fees.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing a fantastic job. If they had an online platform, that could save a lot of time. People could submit things online to make dealing with the time difference easier. It could improve their efficiency.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’m very confident in their delivery. It’s not easy to recommend people when working from a distance, but I recommend them 100%.

Be clear about what you want from them. They’re very open, giving me advice on things in the market. When you work from a distance, you can see things differently. They can give you great advice.
