I am Public Affairs Manager at Smartney. Smartney is Polish fintech company that combined the greatest advantages of various entities operating on the financial market, introducing a completely new quality and user experience for its clients.

In a convenient, fast and technologically advanced process, they can borrow large amounts of money and spend it on making their plans come true . To achieve this, Smartney uses Open Banking solutions, collects and processes Big Data and uses machine learning to constantly improve the quality of delivered solutions.

It is a fintech operating in the ecosystem of other fintechs and using every opportunity to improve the quality of service. What's more, Smartney is constantly developing its offer, among others as one of the leaders in loan solutions for the e-commerce sector.

It’s cooperation with Comperia, payU, BlueMedia and retail networks allows e-commerce customers to benefit from using convenient lending solutions.

We needed a front-end that would talk to our back-end and content creation software.

ITBoom was recommended to us by one of our partners.

We asked ITBoom to deliver the user interface that would connect our back office tools with the content creation tool. We needed something reliable as we are the financial services provider.

There was no space for any errors, because any technical difficulties can undermine trust of the consumers, and that is not easy to rebuild on financial market. The team analyzed the situation and came up with the architecture of the solution that was very satisfying.

Once we were happy with the idea, the team started the development in cooperation with the other service providers we work with.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The changes are seen on the website- as one of the tools is the user friendly loan calculator. The content changes are ease to make now and can be implemented in no time. While it is difficult to show the solutions itself (with the exception of calculator) we can easily adjust all the content on the webpage.

The process is manageable by business owners, and don’t need additional IT support.

The meetings were held within the timeframe, the communication was clear and concise. We felt great understanding between us. If any questions appeared it was easy to communicate even between scheduled meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were really surprised how open-minded their employees were. They were able to comprehend the difficult processes and ask some leading questions to help us put our needs in the structure.

As this was cooperation that begun before our company entered market, those needs fluctuated a lot - so IT Boom greatly helped us to meet needs of various business units.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, They are reliable, and we are happy with their services.

The goal was to develop an app on SharePoint to manage our internal training and development program. It helps leaders manage budgets for training and employees to plan their development and even suggest/ come up with the courses to attend or skills to improve. External trainers can easily schedule, book training and check the attendance list. The app is a modern cloud based solution.

We had had a long-term business relationship before we started the project. ITBoom augments our IT staff.

We couldn’t have done the projects ourselves so we had to outsource it. ITBoom did analysis of needs, estimated the project and advised us on certain technical aspects. The app we developed was built in agile workflow- with constant improvements and testing that way the final result for business owners was more than well received.

The app is a cloud based solution that allows us to work smoothly with our external training and service providers. Scheduling and planning seems to be a lot easier for our business owners. Having a useful tool allows them come up with new features that could be implemented in the long run to improve the program even more.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was smooth and easy. Everything was logged into DevOps. Scheduling was effortless. The planning and reviewing were made easy thanks to ITBoom’s experience and useful advice.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team was very responsive. They were flexible and adjusted quickly to our late-added scope of work. Thanks to DevOps smooth communication everything was made very transparent and we felt very well updated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The project took longer than expected but that’s because we changed the scope and added extra items to the backlog. The team adjusted quickly though.
