Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Richard Wilson, an online platform designed to provide users with a convenient and accessible digital experience.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Invention Cafe® to accomplish for Richard Wilson?

We wanted to learn a lot from the interactive R&D policy panel discussion. We aimed to gain practical insights into R&D policy and explore how current policies could better support innovation and research activities. The interactive discussion also helped us exchange ideas, identify key challenges, and understand potential opportunities for improving our R&D strategy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Invention Cafe® handled the planning and facilitation of the interactive R&D policy panel discussion. The scope included session preparation, developing discussion topics, coordinating the interactive format, facilitating the panel, and helping participants exchange practical insights. The main deliverables were the structured workshop session, guided discussions, and actionable ideas and recommendations around R&D policy and innovation.

The main output was the live interactive workshop and the discussions during the session. Invention Cafe® also provided supporting materials and key takeaways from the discussion, which helped us capture the main ideas and insights. The value was primarily in the facilitated conversation and practical exchange of perspectives.

We found them through an online search and the Clutch site.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from May to August 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The main measurable outcome was a clearer understanding of the R&D policy landscape and the identification of several practical ideas for improving our approach to innovation and research. The session also increased engagement among participants, generated useful discussion points, and gave us actionable takeaways that we could use in our future R&D planning.

We didn’t use a formal KPI or quantitative measurement system for the session. We mainly assessed the impact through participant involvement, the quality of the discussion, the number of useful ideas generated, and the practical takeaways identified during the workshop. For example, we plan to use this approach when reviewing future R&D projects so we can identify potential support earlier and make our planning more strategic.

How did Invention Cafe® perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was organized and responsive throughout the engagement. Communication was clear, the workshop was well coordinated, and they kept everything on schedule. Yes, they delivered the project and facilitated the session on time as agreed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were very impressed with the knowledge and ideas presented. Invention Cafe® was particularly good at turning a complex R&D policy topic into a focused conversation that produced practical ideas we could take forward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, the project went smoothly, and we were satisfied with the experience. One area that could have been improved would be providing a more detailed written summary or follow-up document after the workshop, including the key discussion points and recommended next steps. That would have made it easier to reference and implement the takeaways afterward.
