3rd-eyes is a Swiss based wealth-tech company that provides SaaS software for banks, insurances and other wealth managers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Infaloom, and what were your goals?

Develop Saas software based on a complex mathematical model for asset and liability management. Software has to fulfill highest standards in security, privacy and operational resilience in a regulated market (financial services industry). Highly complex interrelations had to be presented in a sleek, simple and highly interactive UI.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Infaloom was referred to us by a colleague who worked with the company. Before Infaloom we tried to implement the software with 2 other software development companies who failed to deliver what we were looking fore. The head of Infaloom presented a convincing MVP in a short amount of time.

The scope was the whole software development and delivery process with the exception of the mathematical models. Deliverable was the SaaS software available in a managed and secures multi-tenant cloud solution.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The software went through several iterations, driven by the requirements of new customers. 3rd-eyes developed from a 4 people outfit to a 30+ people company who is able to service (among other customers) one of the largest life & pension companies in Europe.

From the beginning Infaloom operated as a professional, cutting edge software development company, employing agile software development practices. Communications in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint-planning and sprint grooming, regular tech-talks and architectural planning sessions guaranteed that all levels were involved and informed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Infaloom is by far the best development team I ever had in my 35 years in the industry.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Consisteny in effort estimation can be improved.

We needed a device quality monitoring system. Infaloom developed an inventory management and quality monitoring system in which we keep track of our customers, devices they use, test strips and serums and defects

Infaloom developed a device quality monitoring system. We are a producer of professional grade blood glucose meters whose measurement needs to be calibrated on a regular basis by law. Infaloom developed an inventory management and quality monitoring system in which we keep track of our customers, devices they use, test strips and serums and defects. The platform also allows for simple support requests from customers to a support representative in Dytrex.

• Started with requirements gathering with Infaloom's representative coming to our office for end user interviews.
• We saw the progress of development on a weekly basis and were able to suggest improvements on the fly. The whole project lasted around 5 months.
• Infaloom keeps hosting the application on Microsoft Azure for us and maintains the application when an issue arises, although this doesn't happen very often. 
• We didn't have any strict technology requirements. The Infaloom team made the choice of technologies and picked ASP.NET for the backend, MSSQL server for data store, Angular for the frontend.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was completed to our complete satisfaction.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They visited us in person two times during the project development. Once for the requirements gathering and once for the final tweaks before the release.

The Senior Software Developer was also the project leader. We've used Skype for instant messaging and calls and email. When it comes to timelines, everything was along the proposed timeline from the offer. We needed a feature update of the software they developed for us a few weeks after the initial release and they've managed to address the new requirements timely.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their communication was very good. They also implemented short-term change requests flexibly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were completely satisfied and don't know what could have been done better.
